number pad problem

When I try enter information using the keypad/number pad to pay bills or enter information over the phone, the gnex doesn't accurately receive what I've inputted. For example, if the operator ask to enter 2500, I would type 2500 but the operator says I've entered 22500. I've tried this several times and made sure I push it correctly yet it doesn't input it correctly. When just dialing numbers to call people, it works great. Any advice?

Try turning off your dial pad tones in the dialer. That should fix it.

Interesting issue. I think I experienced something similar today when I tried to dial into a conference call. I could see on my phone screen that I was definitely typing in the correct ID for the meeting, but the automated system was not recognizing the meeting ID. I also will try turning of the tones in the dialer to see if that will help.

Have to try that. I get it all the time when calling my bank. I enter 222 and they read it back as 222222 every time and I can't get anywhere in the menus.

Edit: Turning off dial pad tones worked like a charm.

Make sure the speaker phone is turned off.
