Number porting

I?ve been thinking of taking advantage of the ?materially adverse changes? that Sprint has recently made and porting my number to T-Mobile. Their unlimited Talk, Text and Data plan for $99.98 per month for two lines is very appealing to me since I currently pay Sprint about $150 per month for essentially the same plan. I?m planning on calling Sprint?s Retentions Department this afternoon to try and get them to add notes to my account that I can cancel both my lines with no ETF. Hopefully, they?ll make an offer to entice me to stay, especially since they subsidized 2 HTC EVO 4g?s in the last 2 months on my account.

My question is, if I port both phone numbers to T-Mobile and am not happy with the service, can I just as easily port them back to Sprint?

Good luck. Sprint is claiming that this change in fee is not materially adverse, since their T&C states that they can charge up to $1.99 fee. They have only raised it to $1.50.

I know some people have had success with this, but I think Sprint is taking a harder stance on this one, and not letting people out of their contracts over this change. There have been users on AC talking about this in the forums, and I read an article on MSNBC about this as well.

I know that the administrative fee change might be a tough battle so that’s why I plan on centering on the changes to the arbitration clause. There is actually legal precedent that these kinds of changes are materially adverse.
