*Obligatory 'I ordered my Pixel 4' thread!

Well if anyone was waiting on the fence and has Fi for service...I just ordered a 128 gig white as they're running 50% of the purchase price back as credits on your account. I'm rather pleased I returned the 64 gig after trying it out and waited, because that's a lot of service credit!

Oh WOW. Amazing!

Wow! That's so awesome! Congratulations and Happy Phone Day! What a great deal too! Let us know when you get it and how you are liking it!

Yes and if they have it cheaper black Friday I will get the difference since it's only 7 days difference!

I'm sure I'll love it. I love my Pixel 2XL but as it's 2 years old I'm paranoid about battery's dying and loosing my stuff. So I upgrade every 2 years. I can't wait to have wireless charging. :)

I’ve just bought my Pixel 4 XL in white, it lands with me tomorrow. Bought from CPW here in the UK.

I’ve got the OP7 Pro currently and as much as I like it, I’m not settled with it and for me, the camera is crap. Grainy pictures etc

I missed my Pixel 3 XL and feel that getting the 4 XL is the right move. I did consider the Galaxy S10 Plus (the Note 10 Plus is no use to me as I’ll never use the features) but the Samsung feel/bloat/lack of updates put me off...

Still, I wonder if I’ve done the right thing...

I have the 1+7 pro and I think the camera pretty good not pixel level but can get the job done .

My advice is to not rush to judgement like so many reviewers did. Let adaptive battery do its thing. Give yourself time to adapt to face unlock which may require you to hold/carry your phone in a slightly different way to avoid unwanted unlocks (or turn off "skip home screen"). Play with features over a week. My positive feelings for this phone grew over time. Maybe it shouldn't be that way but that was my experience.

And... stop reading reviews. There is so much false information out there. Things like no HD calling - false. Terrible battery life - Not my experience (not amazing but certainly not awful). Experience it yourself.

Wait until you see the screen! (especially after Nov update)

I agree with this post. I really wanted the Pixel 4XL and it felt very similar to my Pixel 2XL. Since it runs the same software.

The new Google Assistant is not available on launch, but there is a workaround to get it to install and run. I am in the UK. Set the Google Assistant language to US English. Make sure you are using stock launcher, and Gboard. But the assistant language is most important. Then it will tell you to download an update and you get the new assistant. Make sure in the assistant settings you select continued conversation as well.

Once the new assistant is working you can install a new launcher. I am using Nova at the moment.

Give yourself time for the battery to adapt to your usage and don't listen to YouTube reviews. Except newer reviews are saying that reviewers like the phone better after using it for a few weeks or a month.

I hope you enjoy your phone. Oh and I set up mine as a new phone because when I restored from my 2XL it stopped the motion sense from working.

Cheers for the heads up folks :)

I’ve picked it up today from my local CPW, the online order went awry. The courier never received the phone yesterday and god knows where it is, so that order was cancelled and I managed to get the last black one from my local CPW. Really wanted white, but the black one is very nice ;)

I’ve fitted a tempered glass screen protector and sat it in a Spigen case. I’ve got a Torro wallet case for it also.

So far it’s a superb phone, fully up to date, running Nova Launcher and it swapped all my apps and other stuff from my previous OP7 PRO with no issues.

There was no issues putting Nova Launcher on to it, so don’t really understand the Google Assistant comments above sorry.

It’s a lovely phone, superb screen and I’ve taken a few pics today and already they’re massively better than the OP7 Pro, from looking at them via Google Pictures on my Mac.

It’s great to have wireless charging back too :D

There is a new style Google Assistant that is on device and allows continued conversation. Am surprised you haven't heard about it. It is only available in the US right now. But you can force it to work by changing the GA language to US English, using stock launcher and Gboard. But if you are not bothered about trying or using it (considering it is one of the main reasons to upgrade to the Pixel 4 for some people) then it doesn't matter.

US forum users will have it automatically so they don't have to use a workaround. But for people outside the USA you have to use the workaround. That was what I was talking about.

Thanks... Not something I feel I need, but will look into it more when I’ve some brain space :)

It had its first full test yesterday, we had a day out at the Edinburgh Christmas Markets (superb day with very cold weather which was lovely). Took some pic and they’re superb, deffo better than the OP7 could take IMO

But a great phone to use, the Face Unlock is very swift, it’s battery charge is superb, I was using it all day and left with 98% and got home with 44%, I think that’s very good!

So far, very impressed

After going back and forth between upgrading my panda Pixel 2 XL to the 3 XL or 4 XL, went with the latter on Black Friday (black 128 GB) at Best Buy, went for the $400 off deal with Verizon. Ordered it, and picking it up tonight!

I caved. I bought 64GB 4XL white unlocked from the google store. Traded in the P3. First time with a BIG phone. I'm switching from a single fi plan to Tmobile +55 plan. I have had every pixel since launch. It's my yearly Xmas gift to myself. So far I like the clear caseology skyfall case to show off the "panda". Unfortunately the LK Glass screen protector just misses the mark on the sides. My search goes on.

Purchased a 128 pixel xl white, using Verizon 300 device credit. Not happy about losing credits if I pay off early to upgrade next year

As of Dec 23, Pixel 4 xl is now $150 off, plus trade in off course. I believe regular pixel 3 is now worth $170

That’s awesome.

Even though I am the OP, I have since changed over to an iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB. My Pixel 4XL 128GB sits on my nightstand.
