Before I start complaining I just want to say thank you zefie for working on this. Now, I finally was able to get my phone to 864. However, after doing so my phone goes into a continuous reboot cycle. What can I so to remedy this?

The phone is unstable at this speed, I don't think there is a remedy for this. A stable speed is 806MHz.

zefie, thanks for the awesome work. I was really stoked when I saw you had the Optimus. I used to always prefer your kernels for the moment.

Well I got everything straightened out in my ROM, turns out there was something wrong on my end. Just want to say that this is the fastest that my phone has ever been. excellent work!

I'm still using the default sprint rom, but wanted some OC love!

I am using the 1.2 recovery image

Flashed this kernel update 03 and rebooted - phone just sat at booting screen

Went back into recovery menu, disabled signature verification, re-flashed the kernel, rebooted, and now it worked.

Weird - is it because the stock rom is loaded you have to disable signature verification?

Phone is fully rooted though.

Confused. I use GNM's recovery 1.1.0. I don't use 1.2 because the new zip browser conflicts with my interests.

Installed kernal now my phone runs like crap. Wifi off, reflashed multiple times. Re flashed rom. I even bought setcpu. My phones 3 days old. Cant even play angry birds its so choppy. My girl friends lg ally runs way smoother..any help appreciated. Jbas06@gmail.com. Settings imto new to notice? Everything ran perfect till I bought setcpu and flashed kernal. Thanks in advance.

Am I stuck with this lag or can I get my old kernal back

Yes, you can re-flash #3, reboot into recovery, wipe dalvik and flash away. Running into problems also with #4, getting random reboots OC set at 768.

Nothing was changed really. I did it to have a reason to release the source. the only difference was it was compiled from clean source. Shouldn't effect stability. Perhaps try reflashing?

Yeah, think the dl got corrupted. Re-downloaded and flashed, everything seems fine.

I think the best and the is just personal reference of course I have and never have had problems at oc'ing 806 and governor at performance and when the battery looks like is just getting half way I put it down to 7++ which ever one you think is a good lowered speed and governor on ondemand those are good for me im using thunde rom v1.4 with zefie's xionia kernel 004 no problems at all running smoothly with high quadrant scores

I guess what I am asking for is the text values on the setCPU text file, we keep in the root of our SD Cards. I just didn't want to do a lot of trial and error concerning those values, as most should be the same, right? I thought the upper end is where we need the trial and error, for our phones particular sweet spot.

EDIT-

Never mind, I guess after a little discovery in setCPU, and browsing in the Info tag, I found all that I needed.

So far I've only been able to get 610 quadrant @ 800 mhz but i got a 9.4 on linpack. Phone runs great though no lag and got 54.2 fps on neocore :). Any idea what i should do to get my scores up? I'm on 1.4 Thuderom and this .004 kernel.

Edit: I installed the zip with stagefright, JIT etc. and now I got a 1353 :) This phone is awesome!

Would someone please post what seems to work the best as far as clock speed settings for setCPU?

I recommend Overclock Widget for overclocking as it doesnt have as much overhead (polling) and is less harsh on your battery than SetCPU plus its Free. This is well known over at XDA. Not sure why people even use SetCPU, I guess its a preference thing. You can also use Android Hacker Tool to change the governor if need be.

no ideas atm, but just want to thank you for the effort thus far. new to Android, but not hacking phones. Between thunderom 1.4 and your 004 kernel, this cheap little phone finally delivers.

CIFS support?

Why? Not to be mean or anything I just see no practical use for it. You need an android-networking-enabled cifs mount system as well. ASTRO is a free file manager which supports SMB shares without any kernel hacks.
