Yea, xionia 006 and xionia 007 and the boot.img from your VC Rom doesn't have the
tilt function working, I guess when using V9 radio - which I am still on.

Doesn't matter one bit to me though, I always use the phone upright.

Yup I have the same issues while I was at the v9 baseband, after updating to the vc baseband the accelerometer works again.

weird, then again radio/baseband is firmware/bios so perhaps they updated something there.

Now using Xionia 007 with my stock rooted Optimus. Adds quite a bit of ZIP to my phone. A thousand bravo's to you, zefie.

Oh, for the record, I accidentally installed 007 on my phone when it only had V9 baseband, and it worked somehow. Not that i'd suggest anyone else do it, just wondering how it may have worked?

If this is not in your plan, I would love to pick up with your open source, and make the necessary tweaks (i.e., swap back and menu keys) to make your kernel work with my brand spanking new Optimus V (Virgin Mobile).

Sure, I'll give it a shot, but it will be 008, so it won't support V9 and lower.

Is that the only issue? No one has told me the specifics.

I'm not sure if I can make boot.img magically detect but I can at least patch the source so that all you guys have to do is change a config from "Sprint Thunderc" to "VM Thunderc" before compiling.

Someone with an Optimus V plz provide the following if you want official support:
1) Link to Optimus V Kernel Source code, or model number to search on LGE's Open Source site
2) Full dmesg from a successful boot. Turn on your Optimus V, load up to the lock screen. then dump the dmesg like this:

adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt

You will have a 'dmesg.txt' in your current folder. Paste that on paste2.org or something.

I haven't tried it yet, but according to this thread, the problems are:

- The Home/Menu keys are reversed.
- The accelerometer is broken.

I just experimented with smartass gov and have to say I'm not that impressed. I was at first, it turns on from sleep extremely fast, but thats about where the awesome ends. I can't get a decent configuration that doesnt either

1) stay at 600mhz+ for no apparently reason unless sleeping
2) does scale, but not enough, thus stays at 245mhz and lags the crap out of the home screen

it seems this is one of those annoying modules that need to be fine tuned per device, so I see if I can find some config that doesn't completely suck.

Edit: think I got a decent setting, and see why he renamed it to minmax >.>
Edit2: nm I was on interactive.. yeah I don't think we'll be using the smartass gov. sry.
