October 2018 OTA Security Update Available Now

The October 2018 OTA Security Update is available NOW. After a delay of 22 days for the September 2018 update, the October update is downloading to my OG Pixel XL/T-Mobile device now. The file is 68MB.

My Essential is getting the update now also. It is a new Android P build and includes the October update. The file is 265 MB.

When they say "first Monday", they really mean first Monday. I just reflashed yesterday, and with TWRP, for some reason I can't OTA (maybe I have to flash a stock boot.img, but that would mean a full reinstall of Magisk, so I;ll wait a few days, unless there's something really important in it, which I'm off to check now).

So what is the build on your Essential now? My Pixel XL is PPR2.181005.003

My Pixel XL, on Verizon, says September 5, 2018 OS 9. And says no updates are available.

Installed and in use, with no problems.
