Odd and frustrating problem with Pandora

So as of Friday morning, I got into my car and played Pandora through my car's Bluetooth as I always do. But the music paused and every time I unpause it, it eventually pauses again. It mostly seems to be doing this in my car, even with the Bluetooth disconnected. I've cleared the cache and reinstalled Pandora a couple of times and it still does it. Tested my car with my tablet and have no issues. Tried my phone with a portable Bluetooth speaker and no problem. Ended up resetting my phone entirely and it still has the issue. Anyone seen anything like this? I'm at a loss. Just looking for a solution before resorting to a warranty replacement. The only thing I can add as that I did notice the Samsung updates. 1 was a one ui update. I can't remember what the other two were but they were insignificant enough not to take now of it. TIA.

Try contacting Pandora's customer support. I had a similar (but not exact) problem after the latest Pandora update, and tried everything but a factory reset of my phone. I filed a bug report, and they got back to me quickly saying they removed the device association from my account for my car stereo. When I signed back in to Pandora, it worked again in my car.

Same here but happens on any bluetooth connection. Not all of the time, very sporadic. All of this after Pie and most recent Pandora update. Figured I'd sit tight and wait for the next Pandora update.

I sent a support request to Pandora. On their support page, this issue is specifically singled out as having a lot of incidents. When I submitted the request, it sent me an automated email suggesting I check to make sure I have the app set so it can run in the background. Already did that so I replied along for more help. I'll report back when I hear back.

can also try take pandora out of battery optimization see how it performs.

That's strange usually every app gets optimized, you can long press it then info see if its being restricted in the background.

Pandora has been bought out by Sirius Radio... At least thats what Howard Stern said last week. And it's now on my Sirius app that I listen to Howard on... I use Google Play Music so that's all I can offer as help...

I suppose you may be right. The person at Pandora that is assisting me had asked me to check three times already. Lol.

Just an update. They asked a bunch of questions. At first confirming they're aren't any settings that could be causing this. Once they ruled that out, they asked questions pertaining to the conditions when it occurs. They said they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. Chances are, the questions were to make sure they understand the problem fully and address it as best they can. Either way, we're probably going to have to wait for an update.

Another update. Pandora released an update 5/22 that has resolved this issue. That is all.

It may have been the phone case....?

I don't think so for me. I pulled the case off and it still had an issue. Problem still hasn't been back since the update. I'm fairly certain that was the issue as Pandora even started as much.

Sorry, that was bad joke carried over from another thread.
I too have no issues since the update.
