ODIN Complete(Write) operation failed, what can I do?

Hi nahoku, I've tried every firmware on Sammobile that refers to SM-G850F (H3G). I don't know what to do next. It still shows the same problem. I am really losing hopes now. Do you think that we're missing something else here? Here's the image of what it comes up with: View image: Capture1

I know you're in the UK, but where exactly? Just wondering because Sammobile has several UK listings.

Nothing wrong with the Odin screen from the looks of it. When you run Odin, do you see it check the MD5 file?

Read THIS thread and see if it helps. Something to do with the hidden image... the FAIL you're getting.

I read the site you gave me and wondering how to remove the .md5 extension because I have only one file which is the firmware.

Ok, thanks.

All the firmwares you downloaded should end with ".md5". To remove the extension, simply rename the file and delete the .md5 letters.

This is what it'll look like with my Note 4 firmware...

N910VVRU1ANJ5_FullFirmware.tar.md5

After I delete .md5

N910VVRU1ANJ5_FullFirmware.tar

OK, I have found all the .img files but when I copy the hidden.img file and rename it to hidden.img.tar, I can't put it back into the firmware file again because WinRar doesn't let me.

Accidentally posted twice.Sorry

Ok, what you're doing is NOT what the thread is instructing.

What you need to do is this...
1) Get the hidden.img file... save it to your desktop or where ever.
2) Rename it to hidden.img.tar
3) Insert the hidden.img.tar file into the AP section of ODIN... this is the same section you previously put the md5 file that you were trying to flash
4) Remove the PIT file... not going to use it anymore
5) Remove the check mark from "Re-Partiton"
6) Start ODIN.

Just so you understand... what you're going to do is flash this hidden.img.tar file in ODIN. You are no longer going to flash the md5 file. Make sure you remove the PIT file and do NOT check "Re-Partition"

Hopefully, Odin will complete the flash. This is a cut and paste from that thread....

When the phone boots, the displayed image will be touchwiz teal, there will be a little android and GALAXY spelt above it. Don't freak out.
Give it a minute and it should boot.

Be patient and don't mess with the phone. Give it time like the the quote above states. If the phone boots but goes into a boot loop, you will need to enter recovery and clear/wipe the cache partition and then restart the phone.

I hope this is clearer now, but if you have any question before starting, let me know. However, I'm going to sleep soon, so I won't be monitoring this thread any further tonight.

Nahoku YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE LIFE SAVIOR. IT WORKED!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT YOUR HELP!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!!

Well, I'm glad it's working. Good job! Thank you for not giving up... I'm happy you kept going!

Just want to make sure...

Is the phone completely working? Is your wireless, data, bluetooth all working? Can you send MMS texts (text with pictures or vids)? Someone in the thread mentioned something about their radios not working after just flashing the hidden.img.tar file. If your phone is working completely, you're all set!

Hi,

I have done what you've instructed but I still can't fix my phone. It still say ODIN Complete (Write) operation failed. What shall I do? My phone has no warranty so I cannot go to any Samsung Store to have it repaired. I hope someone can help me with my dilemma.

Happy New Year!

Thanks,
