Re: Odin failing flashing Samsung Galaxy S6 G920F

Hi

There are many things that could cause this. Make sure you have the latest samsung drivers on your PC. Do a fresh boot of your PC. Use a Different USB Port on your PC. Try using a different PC and...a different version of Odin as well.

Hope this helps!

Chris

Hey, thanks for the fast answer. I've already tried all of your suggests, nothing worked. I've installed the latest Samsung drivers, used a common Micro USB-Cable AND the original Samsung S6 Cable, tried it on 3 PC's/Notebooks and tried 2 different Odin versions (3.10 & 3.06)

Still got the same Failing message from Odin. I think the reason is my phone, but cant tell what it is. Ive bought it without any branding or mobile phone contracts.

Anyone with the same problem maybe?

Re: Odin failing flashing Samsung Galaxy S6 G920F

Firstly I'm sorry for the long post and bad grammar :) I don't usually post on Forums, but I wanted to share my experience in as much detail as possible, other parts may help someone with a different obstacle. I'm pretty sure at this stage, you will have exhausted every possible solution like me. I followed the same steps as you, and I also have the same version (G920FXXU3DPDP)

Unfortunately I had multiple errors I was using Odin V3.10.6 and this would Stick at <ID:0/004> Get PIT for mapping - I assumed my cable and usb drivers was fine because my device was visible in Odin. I then switched to Odin V3.11.1 and used the .tar file included in the Odin folder. Which magically got me to your point (<ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed.)

As the process failed it left my phone in download Mode with a 50% completed progress bar. I restarted the phone only to see that my Stock rom was completely in accessible. There was now a message on the screen saying to download Samsung Smart Switch and select EMERGENCY SOFTWARE RECOVERY option.

I followed the steps and had no luck, my device was not showing in Smart Switch so I unplugged my phone and selected the second option under Emergency recovery Reinstall device driver this way, I knew my drivers are 100% updated. But smart switch failed again to identify the device...

I booted Odin with my phone displaying connect to Smart Switch and it WORKED!!

To my knowledge it was rectifyied Via
A) The Phone in Emergency Recovery state bypassed checks.
B)
The updated Smart Switch Drivers where more compatible than previously used tutorial linked ones
Nothing else was changed, Same usb port etc.. Phone rebooted, all data was intact and root access was granted.

The site wont let me attach my .TAR file or Odin folder.rar

Hope this may help, GOOD LUCK =D
