Odin Files/Guides For S21

Op should be fine with TMB/TMB/TMB. I seen it happened on Verizon. I guess that's how S21 worked compared to previous generation. He's still getting update from Samsung.
Yeah but should say the sim the first 2 , I don't think the s21 changed in that regard.

The files at XDA are AUA3.

Thanks, but I'm trying to find out if anyone with a carrier AT&T locked S21 phone received a newer update than ATLF, and what is it. Not on XDA, but via an OTA update.

I have a couple of questions that I am hoping one of you Odin experts can answer for me....

Background: I had a Note 20 Ultra and my wife had an older Note. She wanted a newer phone and since she is a much heavier S-pen user than me, she took my Note 20U and I purchased an S21U.

Q1) The Note 20U is a T-Mobile carrier-branded phone. Back in April, the patch brought e-Sim capability. If I were to flash the Note 20U to unlocked, would it then lose that e-Sim capability?

Q2) The S21 is unlocked and even though I am on T-Mobile, it does not have the e-Sim capability. At least not yet. Will it never come to that phone as long as it is unlocked?

Q3) If I flashed the S21U to T-Mobile would it eventually update and get that E-Sim capability? If it did I am back to Q1. Would it lose that ability if flashed back to Unlocked?

Any guidance or advice is greatly appreciated. I have never flashed a phone before and the task seems daunting. Kind of akin to defusing a ticking time bomb, but I am willing to give it a try :)

At this moment TMobile Carrier firmware for Note 20u has the esim and flashing to unlocked doesn't have it yet or s21

***Only for T-mobile variant***

It only matter of time people will ask this again.

If someone decided to flash unlocked firmware to T-mobile variant the US cellular will actually still work, it's based off IMEI, and because your imei doesn't change the roaming will still work. True factory unlocked versions don't have it.

I was shocked when Tech told me this, It's all IMEI :).

Also, tested on my S21 Ultra T-mobile Variant.

Don't go buy Unlocked by Samsung and flash T-mobile firmware and expect US Roaming to work.

You referring to roaming here?

Yes. I'm not sure how other carriers worked. I found this out couple days ago talking with T-mobile technical. He might slip his tongue :).

To sum it up. Buying Factory Unlocked from Samsung will not give you access to US cellular roaming or flashing to T-mobile firmware.

I doubt T-mobile will patch.

@mustang7757 Hey, I've been looking through the threads and seen you helping lots of people. My wife and I moved from T-Mobile to Verizon. I am trying to flash an unlocked stock rom to my wife's phone and have been unsuccessful thus far. She has an S21+, I downloaded the stock rom files needed and am trying to use Odin 3.14.1 patched and it keeps failing. Her phone is in download mode.
