[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

i am very intrested in the EB01 Midnight v1.2 but pretty new and not all that clear on how to install it on my fascinate im running the froyo superclean 2.6 there are many diffrent options ive found for the midnight in a post from JaeKar99 and i kinda of got my self lost my knowledge is very limited right now working hard to know more so i dont need the amout of help i ask for

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I flashed sc2.6 and wanted to put the touchwiz launcher on it. I d/l the touchwiz.zip put it on my sd card and flashed it with Clockwork and rebooted. No touchwiz. Did I miss a step.

Tell us exactly what you are doing when you say your phone is not being read. Are you holding the volume down button? If not that would be the problem. Look at the pictures in post #2 of this thread. You need to hold the volume down button as you plug your phone into the usb until your ODIN looks like picture #3 in post #2 where the thin rectangle has turned yellow.

Ya, I am holding the volume down button. It comes up with the yellow triangle that says downloading. I held it for a good 2 minutes at one point and odin never responded. My comp kept telling me that a usb device has malfunctioned. I did have a problem with my phone, I'm guessing ATK screwed it up. Had some ring volume problems. it was giving me an error every time I tried to enter ringtone options. I restored all my apps/data through titanium just right now and it seemed to fix all those issues. Maybe that software issue was causing my odin problems? IDK, I am going to try again.

You flash themes through clockwork mod recovery. Just click the link in my signature to get step by step instructions.

I had no problem with SC2.6, or any other SC2.X editions, in restoring my apps. The only bloat app I backed up/restored was thinkfree though. When you do the restore with TiBackup just be sure to only restore apps+data, Don't restore system files, if you even backed them up, if you do chances are you could run into problems. After I went over to Froyo I made a new TiBackup folder to backup with because of the Froyo only apps, but I kept my original Eclair backup in case I ever have to go back to Eclair or use the warranty for a phone exchange.

I already backed up all my apps/system data. So, I just restore my user apps, correct?

If you are talking about restoring your apps through titanium backup, you use the option of all missing apps + data. Do not use the options of all apps or any option that includes system data.

Iam about to root for the first time and Iam downloading all the stuff DroidXcon has on the first page and i was wondering which superclean 2.6 I should do.... Do I backup my phone before or after root?

Slightly different question here. I've used your procedure to flash the sc2.5 to my phone and my sons. Everything went smooth. I'm very happy with mine, My son has some issues with his just locking up, sometimes re-booting.

I then read yesterday about some app viruses. My son does have some of those apps on his phone. Coincidence? Maybe.

Anyway, I want to completely wipe his phone and re-install sc2.x. Then manually reload apps.

Will your odin flash with the wipe suffice or is there more I should try and do?

Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

Im interested in 2.6, currently on stock 2.1.

Can anybody tell me if you are able to sync with you corporate exchange server in 2.6? does wifi works fine? how about bluetooth, does it work fine?

I am happy with 2.1, stable, have done some mods to get rid of the bloatware and bing, but I would really like to have flash support, but not at the cost of not being able to sync with exchange, use wifi or bluetooth, there are must have for me.

I'm using SuperClean 2.6 and my Exchange sync is working fine, bluetooth works great, wifi works fine. Also my geotagging works now, my GPS is a good amount more accurate than stock was.
