my main issue is i just want to find out if im on the stock kernel or not

it will install the stock kernel,,,,just wipe cache, you dont need to wipe data

thats what i got but arent there voodoo specific kernels where the kernel is still there but lagfix disabled, and the kernel always looks like that?

dxc is right, too much headache with voodoo....i mean it works good but is breaks my 720p recording...i dont like that

I wonder if it's just voodoo and EB01 that causes the issue. Because I'm using SC 2.6 w/voodoo dummy kernel and 720p works fine.

You can use mine but it will write
Wipe data ....if you use the other one flash it just as you did the kernel

so if i flash from your op it wont get rid of the kernel?

i tried that kernel still failed...also failed on every custom kernel when i was on 2.1. voodoo or no voodoo

I flashed eb16sc_dxc to my phone. If the phone is plugged in i have no problems. If i unplug it and leave it sit for a few minutes it will not come back on and I have to pull the battery. It works as long as i dont let it sit. Any ideas?

Tried to falsh again and it was better lasted 15 - 20 min before i had to pull battery. Also battery is draining fast. One thing i noticed is that after i flashed the phone it showed 1.47gb of free space. Should it have been more after a fresh load? Should I flash 2.5?

Sounds to me like your battery is failing can you borrow someones to test this

@Dave, you had alot of trouble when you first started flashing its possible something in your memory got written wrong , i would use this

to scrub your phone clean, then come back and try again with superclean now that you have a better idea of the steps to take you should come out clean

Do I go thru ODIN again with this? Once it is scrubbed, will it be ok to go straight to SC2.6x or should I go with SC2.4?

Then scrub down like these guys are doing and re flash ...........guys always boot your phone after using odin...don't just flash on top of a flash

it worked fine on the stock EB01 just flashed 2.6 last night

Sounds like he's got the sleep of death. It doesn't sound like the battery is dying so much as it can't wake up after going to sleep or low power mode.

Before you do a "scrub down", consider just patching the version you're using. From my instructions on this post:

I have about 2 more hours here at work, and can help you where I can. I really believe that this should take care of your issue where you're being forced to pull the battery pack.
