[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

I get red if I use the recovery option that's available when you hold the power button and with the volume +/- & power button combo. If I hit apply update.zip, it takes me to orange and also go to orange from rom manager. Hitting apply update.zip from orange stays in orange for me.

Ok I see i cant get in red CWM cause i cant apply the update.zip on sd card anyway to get this through or is this a no go?

Just flash it,,,i may try what they do put the checksum at the end maybe i wont need to have people extract the files

Alrighty then..... I'm good to go. I just need to reinstall Titanium Backup and restore everything. Then onto flashing SC2.6x again... VCAST Video and text problems are good to go now.

I'm new here obviously. I rooted my phone last week and ended up nearly bricked when I tried to flash a rom onto it. Ended up going back to stock and now sit at Stock EA28. Going to give it one more try. I have odin, drivers and update.zip all saved in a file. From here if I want to do an all in one move to Froyo, do I just choose one the Downloads from the first page here?

yeah download one of them, if in the description says that it needs to be extracted see post #2 for instructions on how to do that

Use USB Ports in the back of the computer,
remember to keep the battery out during the entire process

Do you suggest any particular file. I downloaded the last 2.6 file. Also ... Extract then to Odin to flash, Correct?

Make sure update.zip is downloaded to the base of your sd card, not in the same folder on your pc as odin and the drivers.

Plenty of folks here to help ya if you need it.

OK, so I'm sick and tired of waiting....about ready to jump in and update to froyo. I notice that the flash will wipe my data, which I can back up first, no problem as I actually have little hard data on it right now.

All I have to do after completion then is reboot and go through the steps of adding my gmail, just like a new purchase phone right?

Waiting for download of 2.6. I see you're on 2.7. Should I be waiting on that

I'd say, go to 2.6. 2.7 is being tested for some issues atm. When you go to 2.6, make sure that you choose the full install with the datawipe if you're coming from Stock 2.1. If you're coming from another version of Froyo, Super Clean 2.4 for example, then use the non data wipe version of 2.6.

The non data wipe versions have a little x after the version number. EB16SC26x is non data wipe, whereas EB16SC26 is a data wipe.

This way, after you have 2.6 running from the data wiped version, and all your backed up apps restored and running, you'll not have to reload anything if you choose the little x version (EB16SC27x when it comes out). DXC might have the package taken care of in minutes, in hours, or not until tomorrow. All kind of depends on what's going on with Adrynalyne.

That is correct. Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of flashing. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Someone will be here to answer them.

The wipe clears all of your settings, account setups, etc. Pretty much like starting with a new phone. The good thing is that once you're updated, you can use the non data wipe versions that keep your data, contacts and accounts intact after the update. I choose to do that version for all of my updates so that some folks here can have someone with continuity. I won't change the way that I update unless there is a need or direction from DXC. If he breaks my phone, I know how to track him down and make him suffer.

@ DXC---- I flashed the full eb01. Titanium Backup says I don't have superuser rights. Does the FascinateRoot_v02.zip work on EB01?
In your post under rooting it says "What builds will this work on: DI01 / DJ05 / DL09".

So... I am on EB01 stock. If I want to go to SC 2.7 should I flash the WIPE version, or the NO-WIPE version?

Sent from my Froyo Fascinate.
