[ODIN] Official Froyo ED01 packaged custom ROMs w/Root - Updated 06/12/11

Same thing still happening for me too. I tried cleaning the power cord but it did not work. I noticed the white buttons still on also, and they are not responsive, still requires a battery pull to get the power button to go active.
Are you running a theme as well? About to re-odin comm rom and see if it still happens without theme.....will post again in a few

Ok odind using sharkys commrom 2.0 full wipe no modem and same thing is happening..........grey battery progress symbol then have to do a battery pull.............
Just did full wipe of everything.........and reinstalled commrom 2.0 no kernel via CWM 3.0 and exact same thing..........not sure whats going on..........any ideas?

Ok quick question for everyone.

I haven't been on these forums for a while because I went back to grad school, so I haven't tinkered with my Fascinate in a while. I am still on SC 2.9.2.

With the creation of the new ODIN packages (thanks Landshark), am I to understand that I can ODIN the new commrom 2.0 without wiping? I don't have titanium backup and have never used it, so I'm not really sure if it is worth getting it and backing up then wiping. I have a bunch of market downloads and amazon appstore downloads that I definitely don't want to lose the data from.

Thanks for any help. I've always used ODIN and feel that going this route would be most familiar. Nevertheless, I'm ready to try something new (Titanium backup) if I need to, but I'm just not sure how to truly use it to back up my apps and app data, specifically.

quick question... if im on ED01DB_DO_SHARK.tar but have some problems where i'll be in the market and it backs me out all the way as if pressing the return key, should i reinstall using same one or wipe cache/davlik and use the non wipe file???

I would recommend getting titanium backup anyway. That way you can create a backup of all your apps in case something happens. You CAN go to Comm ROM 2.0 by using one of the no wipe versions, it is just not recommended by the ROM developers. As always, flash at your own risk.

The no wipe version will wipe your cache and dalvik. Before you do that I would recommend doing a thorough cleaning of the soft key area of your phone. Seems the soft key buttons of this phone are real sensitive to being dirty and will sense the dirt, oil, and grime as being pressed.

Re: [ODIN] Official Froyo ED01 packaged custom ROMs w/Root - Upda

Hey guys got a few questions for yas. Im currently on EB01 Debloated/ Deodexed W/ clockworkmod, it was one of the Odin packages the was put together by DroidXcon back in i think Feb. I want to upgrade to the ED01DB_DOx_SHARK.tar file on the first page. I have ODIN already downloaded and i had to download samsung drivers last time i flashed, will i need to redownload them? im running Win7 64bit not sure if that helps or not. also when i finished with the odin i was instructed to add the file update.zip to my SD card. Is it ok to leave that there or should i remove it before i upgrade? after i flash the new file, i will close down odin and let the phone fully load then shut it back down and reopen odin and add the latest CWM file? as the directions say. Is everyting on the OP up to date and the correct files i need to get this party rolling :) When i get this finished i would like to add a new theme, which themes will i be able to use with the ED01DB_DOx_SHARK.tar that i'm going to install? oh and one more question, this wont wipe my data right? That's all i can think of right, Thank You in advance for the help

Is there a CWM 3.0 that isn't VOODOO? Also, is there a ODIN version of Adrynalyne's ED01 Debloated/Deodexed? I don't want the EC01 radio and such. Thanks everyone!

You will not need to redownload the samsung drivers. The ones you had before should work fine. You do not need the update.zip file with the CWM you will be flashing from this thread. So you can safely delete that update.zip file you have on there now. It doesn't hurt anything to leave it on there, so basically your choice. Everything in the OP is up-to-date. Check JaeKar99's themes thread and use any themes that are listed under the 2.2 section that do not specifically say they are for Comm ROM 2.0 or EF 3.6.

Check your PM.
Just wondering if anyone has had the problem with the power off charging? I have tried everything but when I power down the device and plug it in the battery charging icon freezes and I have to do a battery pull to get the device to turn on... any help would be appreciated.

Same thing is happening to me, I may have to start over from scratch.
