go head an update we are having some trouble with custom kernels being used on EE4 setting the card to Read only

Bam! Got it.

I deleted the disable-lagfix file from the Voodoo folder and created a normal folder named disable-lagfix. Popped it back in the phone and used Odin on another computer while using a different USB cable to flash AB V4, not v4.1.1, not v3, not v2, not v1 and not any stock image that someone else created, and Odin ran smooth.

I popped the battery back in the phone after flashing with Odin and the Voodoo lady spoke about disabling lagfix while the Samsung logo sat there. The boot animation popped up and freaked out as if it was Voodoo'd. I felt the phone vibrate a tiny and thought I'd be stuck at the boot animation again, but, AB loaded!

Things are looking good now. After AB loaded up I connected the phone to my PC via USB to verify that the USB connection worked and to delete the "disable-lagfix" folder that I previously created. I then rebooted the phone into CWR and installed the PBJT kernel. Rebooted after the PBJT install and heard the Voodoo lady speak her mind about enabling lagfix, moments later the phone booted up fine (quickly, actually). After that, I rebooted one more time into CWR and installed the AB v4.1.1 update. That's it, things are looking good now.

EDIT: The battery still drops pretty quick while I'm using the phone.

So I'm still loving this ROM however, is their a way I can get back the call showing on puzzle piece while phone is locked ability? Don't really care about the puzzle piece just like the ability to select call or text message without phone auto unlocking when receiving calls. Thanks for all the hard work!

I have a couple of questions.. I have everything loaded and working fine except for two small issues.
1. Gmail crashes every time I load it.
2. Battery life is not so good.
Any suggestions?

BTW, Thanks for the hard work on this.. lovin it!!!!!

UPDATE...

I did a wipe and reload and now everything seems to be fine and the battery is holding.
Will post more on battery later.

disable LTE for more than double the battery life...

For those who don't know go to Settings>Wireless & network>Mobile networks>Systems selection>CDMA mode>Automatic...now your set to 3G only. I was getting about 4.5 hours on LTE/AB4 and on CDMA/AB4 w/factory reset Im getting 12 - 13 hours.

Right now I'm on stock, rooted ED1. I edited the build.prop file (changed all ED1 to ED2 so I stopped getting the notification) Do I need to edit those back to ED1and install the ED2 update before flashing this?

You will want to edit it do the update to ed1 then update ed2 then you can upgrade to ee4.

When you say update to ED1 that got me confused. I'm already on ED1, wouldn't I just update to ED2 then on to EE4?

Sorry meant to say edit that file name back. Then just do the 2 updates.

Please help.

I am using the latest AB rom downloaded from the sticky. I applied the update zip by copying it to my SDCard and then following the instructions attached to the post to install.

When I reboot, I am still showing that my baseband version is i510.06 V.ED1 and SCH-I510.ED1
My build number is SCH-I510.ED2. Why did the EE4 update not take?

Thanks

EE4 does not work on AB yet. If you want EE4, you bascially have to go all the way back to EE1 and apply the OTA updates in order.

Curious, if we install the updates manually, is the Charge always going to indicate ED1 even though we are on ED2 or EE4. I noticed that even though I did the ED2 OTA update (didn't manually install) it still says ED1.

May someone please link me to the correct forum that has the ED1 kernel? I have used the search but I cannot find it and am lost about how to go back from AB3 to ED1 stock to do the EE4 update. if anyone can help it would be great. Thank You
