Official Battery Life Thread

10.5 hours, down to 30% on Extended battery, 4G enabled. Medium use, and a few calls was at like 65% then Installed a New Rom and set everything up, Screen time for the new rom is 1hour 6min.

Defiantly decent battery life

I have only been able to find the standard battery on Verizons website. Is it an instore item only

Seem to have solved the stand by drain problem my phone was experiencing. Over 10 hours on the extended battery and still have 75%

Wifi all day, normal texting (which is a lot for me,) checked tweet deck every hour or so, couple phone calls.


My set up: Extended battery, Revolution 2.1.2

Tweaks: Disabled Google Plus, NFC disabled, set CDMA only, set cpu (power save or interactive depending on usage) screen off profile 350/350, tweet deck and email manual updates, screen at around 35%

I noticed even though it doesnt appear my phone was awake last night it still lost 13% battery from the time I pulled it off the charger til 0730 this morning. Thats a hell of a lot to loose not doing anything at all Id say.

2 nights ago i went from 54% to completely drain battery 10:00pm to 7:30am. Last night i lost about 23% from 9:30pm until 3:10am

Is this normal?

Apparently its normal for the Gnex atm but not normal all around. The TB I had wouldnt really loose anything from going to bed to waking up.

I haven't had any issues with the phone draining while I'm asleep. My Nexus has been running on battery for 18 hours now, and 8ish of that was while I was sleeping, and I have 46% left.

I ordered mine online, but I just went back to find it and it appears to be missing.

I placed my order on 12/17 and it hasn't shipped yet. I did a customer service chat with them on the night of the 12/19 to ask what the status was, and they eventually said it was on backorder. There was no indication of it being out of stock at the time I ordered. I am hoping that they honor the order. $25 for that extended battery is a bargain!

I started at 70% before I went to sleep, put wifi off and airplane mode ON (because I don't get service at my house) and woke up to about 40% battery: http://i.imgur.com/SzmDM.png

That's a lot of time being awake for doing absolutely nothing....

There is deffinitly a bug with the OS.. I disabled backup assistance, my verizon, google+ and some verizon login app that was there and my battery life seems better than what it was before i did this. I have the extended.

im at 6h 23m , screen at 44% auto brightness

android keep awake says 1h 47m.

which i feel like is still a lot but ive been browsing a bit today on my break/during work , looking at apps and pictures, texting. It should be better but this is a lot better than what I had yesterday before I froze all those apps. I also made sure my phone charged to 100 then I took out battery and plugged phone back in and once it got to 100 again I unplugged it and started my day.

I've had the OG Droid, the Bionic and now the Nexus.

It's perfectly normal for the OS to use battery when it's not being used.

So if you leave it alone overnight you will wake up with less battery.

It's not a bug. It could be improved but it's normal.

When idle, I got my OG Droid down to 2% OS using deprimed kernel with SS 5.3.

Something is a bit awry in ICS.

Good thing it's a Nexus, and we'll see lots of updates

Battery life sucks for me too.
I unplugged phone from charger @ 3:07 with it beimg 60% charged. All i have done since then to this screenshot is read posts about battery life on this forum. 4g turned off, on 3g with all other items in location tab turned off and no live wallpaper and brightness at lowest setting.

Battery was at 35%

A little later after stopping currents.
