[Official] CyanogenMod 7 discussion

So, I am running rc2 and for the life of me I can't figure out how to change the color of the icons on the closed notification bar (3g, signal strength... things like that).... I had them blue on the nightly I was running, but for the life of me I can't remember how I did it.... can anyone tell me how to change the colors of those 2 blue again? Sry for the stupid question. And thx for the help
You probably changed the theme. Look at your apps and go to Theme Chooser. Then pick one.

thinking of installing custom rom

so i'm thinking of installing CM7 RC2 but I don't want to lose my texts that I have on my phone. Is there a way to keep the text data somehow? I mean, where does the EVO save SMS/MMS messages on the phone so that I can save that folder and "reinstall" after the flash?

Im not sure if this works for GB but on froyo you can use Titanium backup to restore texts. Run the "Restore Apps + system data", unchecked all and then recheck the following, apply and reboot. As usual make sure you do a nand backup prior.

[SMS/MMS/APN] Dialer storage
[SMS/MMS/PREFS] messaging

You can download 'SMS Backup and Restore' by Ritesh on the market. Easy to use. Export to .xml file, restore any time you want.

Is the newest nightly build newer than the RC2?

I'm having 2 issues... cell standby is killing the crap out of my battery.

Screen doesnt turn on unless I tap it after pressing the power button.

Anyone else experience this and figure something out? Thank you!!!

I went from RC2 to 17 and had to go back to RC2. GPS in 17 would lock the first time I used it, but not thereafter until a reboot. The Sense fix did nothing to cure the issue in 17, but it got GPS working for me in RC2. GPS works well in RC2, but the icon sometimes stays on after GPS use is done.

It's soo sad that rom manager is still on #13. Why did I pay for that app if I'm still doing it the long way? Shame on me.

HDMwIn has gone Beta:

I seen their email this morning and gave it a quick go around. Does seem very smooth. Didn't notice the flickering on certain videos that the alpha had. When I get time today I'm testing the games. Hoping it will look like the video that was release :)

Hopefully by the next release they get sound through HDMI. That would be nice but I can deal with it through the phone.

Not only that, cmw thinks I'm on 2.5. I'm actually on 2.6.0.1. I'm flashing everything manual cause I like to wipe cache & dalvik right after flashing. Cmw reboots right away after flashing. Anyways, I use it now only to back up current rom cause it allows me to rename the file. Whatever I guess.

Edit: sorry, I meant Rom manager. Where did cmw come from? Lol..good morning, its 7 am L.A. time
