[Official] CyanogenMod 7 discussion

So does anyone know how to increase in-call volume on CM7? It's driving me crazy that my phone to ear volume is so quiet.

I haven't been able to get my wimax working at all since rc3. In rc2 it work work right after a reboot but then stop working after that but now I can't even get it connected.

I actually solved this myself by flashing the Tiamat kernel. Works great and really increases the volume. Also fixes the problem I had where the Phone app wouldn't go to the dialer. CM7 is now perfect. :)

Kernel can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=972746

Has anyone else noticed that they have lost there toggle buttons when they pull down their notification menu. I went into Cyanogen-mod settings and have to ones that I normally have checked, but I get nothing. These really come in handy when I'm trying to cut on the GPS quickly or place the phone in silent mood for a meeting.

It happens sometimes just have to restart your phone and they should come back

If you are having WiMax issues that are not fixed by rebooting, try reflashing the rom. If still the issue persists fall back to RC2...trust me you rather have something as important as 4G working than unstable.

All Right guys! So I love the fact that we are being oh-so-very productive in this thread so i would like to take suggestions on how to improve the OP. I updated it once and yet it has already become stale and out of touch. Advice :]?

Add some kernel options? Maybe some other things that users can do with their phones with CM7 such as some popular launchers? I don't know though, adding in launchers wouldn't be too on topic. But you could add some kernel options for users.

The OP is already pretty great! Good job!

Done & Done. I'm gonna add a list of kernels too. im sure people could use that. Plus get some less hideous screenshots!.

Kernel suggestions? oh and i want your AC banner so bad haha full of win.

Curious to know what people are experiencing with Wimax?? Im pretty impressed overall with RC3 one being battery life compared to RC2 where i need to change to a savaged-zen kernel for it to be decent/good. With RC3 and stock CM7 kernel....battery life is great. GPS is fast and snappy, the only thing im a bit unsatisfied with besides other little minor bugs is Wimax...

Currently I can turn it on and it works....although sometimes it becomes rather sluggish to the point where I just rather be on 3G ...it appears like it has a rather hard time finishing loading websites....I also have a issue where occassionallly I try to turn on the 4g antenna and after trying for a few seconds it just turns off on its own....so I need to reboot my phone in order to get it to work again...rather frustrating considering I pay 10 bucks for this service....granted I would mostly keep it off for battery life when i was on stock Sense roms....I just wish the CM7 crew could buckle this down..... I hope they really take some time to investigate this ....because while 4g is claimed to work...its really buggy at this point...and its been the same since RC2 all of the following nightlies and now RC3.

From personal experience i have only used 4G a handful of times, but from other peoples claims they say its consistently strong.

When i did test it out on a road trip to CTIA, i found that the strength was better than some sense roms. I too had the issue of it turning on and suddently turning off, so you can rest easy that you are not alone.

If anyone knows a fix to this, who is living in a 4G area, it would be great?

As for the slow webpages, i did not experience this.

They are optimizing with every release so bugs should be fixed by a major stable release.

Anyone know if connecting to a wifi connection while a Bluetooth connection it takes a while..

It seems when I'm in a call using bluetooth at home and try to connect to my wifi and it disconnects when it trust to. This is really frustrating.

This also works viseversa when im connected to wifi only and try to connect to bluetooth it either takes forever to connect or doesn't at all..

Anyone else notice that and or have a solution? Im running nightly 32
