Anyone remember how many builds there were for CM 6 before it became official?

Release candidate, basically a semi-stable officially supported release.

I'm on 6.1.2 still with no Wimax. And now that there is 4G in Tulsa, I want to switch to CM 6 with Wimax, but apparently I can't find it because all they are working on is CM7 Wimax.

I really don't want to try out 7 until it's more stable. So does anyone have CM 6 with Wimax they can share with me?

CM7 is every bit as stable IMO, give it a try. Nandroid first so if you dont like it for some reason you can go back.

Yeah but the wimax version is still on build 24, which has some issues.

I haven't had any issues on 24 except for the lack of GPS. I want to upgrade to 33, but I do not want to lose the wiMax.

Thanks pigfqr, i just signed up for the beta to get the newer swype.. i had an old apk saved that i was using that didn't have the mic.

I have noticed that GPS lock does take alot longer on CM7 that when i was on Myn's sense roms. And i'm still having issues with apps not being listed as available to add as widgets.. But i haven't gotten any feedback from anyone to see if its just me or not.

Just to confirm I just added the FaceBook widget without any problems. As I said I am running 24.

Weeeeiiird.. Facebook isn't an option in widgets for me. I also downloaded a new weather widget app and it isn't listed in widgets for me to install either. I have no idea whats goin on with that. Happened to me with #28 and again with #32 i'm on now.

Yep, full wipe, cache and dalvik. It's not bugging me too bad just yet.. i'll deal with it until the first CM7 RC version comes out.

I tried flashing 33 over the wimax alpha, and all incoming calls were getting sent to voice mail. So I'm back on the wimax alpha. I did not try to clear cache/data/dalvik. Seems like too much of a hassle when I don't have any serious issues with the alpha.

For GPS fix, these directions worked for me: [ROM][WIP][gginggerbread-2] - Wimax for CyanogenMod 7! ginger wimax is such a slut. - Page 341 - xda-developers

I did a nandroid backup of the CM7 wimax alpha, restored my stock nandroid, followed those directions, then restored the CM7 nandroid. GPS works fine now.

Any of you guys having any luck with tethering 4g?

I've heard that it (the roms) support tethering but then I hear different tales in forums. Last night I found that Magnus added 4g support and a wimax kernel to his build. I flashed it all, then remembering that my 004 phone does not like the .34 (bootlooped), I reflashed the rom and have a almost perfect little situation w/ 4g right now. Problem is that I use 4g to wireless-tether EVERYDAY! We use it for our netflix hulu plus apps on our tv.

I sit in a "hotbed" off 4g coverage and it really does make a huge difference. I can drive for a few miles and not even loose the connection.

So if you guys have any ideas let me know.

I tried reinstalling, installing different apps. etc.

The wifi is definitely not wanting to come on with the 4g.

Try the wireless tether app instead of the native tether.
I don't have 4g to test it, but it may work.
