When I flash each nightly will my apps be in place?

Noob:

I flashed the CM7 RC2 the other night and just got all my widgets/apps in the place I want them.

Question: If I flash the nightly's through RomManager, will my widgets/apps still be in place or will I have to set everything up again?

What exactly do you mean by screen animations? Animations when changing home screens, when an app opens up or closes type animations? I have the paid adw launcher and it comes with a bunch of animations for that stuff.

I'm going to Vere away from Myn's Warm Z and try this out I've never tried A AOSP Rom before so i'm hoping that the Change is not hard and i like it I hear Great things about this Rom and 150,000 people downloading in one night can't be Wrong...

Okay, so what's the deal with swype on these new builds? I double click a word to change it and it brings up and stupid Copy and Paste block and then you're not able to change the word, unless you re-spell it. Any ideas?

This is why i went back to the stock sense UI. Couldn't handle the pop-up to edit/copy/paste.

I love the mod, don't get me wrong. Just a few too many things that make me not want to use it full time...

The whole GPS issue - i travel tons and use my gps daily. Don't want to worry if today is the day i need to waste 20 minutes flashing to sense to get gps to work.

Notifications/badges - i sync with exchange, sense mail is far better than regular ol' android mail (like searching, notifies, badges)

Unlock/lock - due to syncing with exchange, i need to have a security policy to lock my phone. No way to make my phone wait 15 minutes or some random number before prompting me for the password, BUT still lock the screen.

I could go on.

It sounds to me like you prefer Sense. There's no harm in that. You own a Sense device. Have at it!

I'm about to try the Sense GPS fix myself. It's the only issue I have on RC2.

I agree the GPS issue is a pretty big deal but they're well aware of it and working on it. This was posted by cyanogen on XDA:

Obviously the gps is strange sometimes. With RC2, I was on stock sense when it got released. I did the gpsclrx and then wiped everything and flashed RC2. All was good except for gps. So, I flashed back to stock sense, reset gps again and then went outside and got a lock. Loaded GPS Status from the market and saw all the sats and confirmed it was working. I then flashed back the RC2 I had saved and gps was working again.

On previous builds, I didn't have to lock with a sense rom before going back to CM. Leads me to believe it's just inherently buggy or just acts strange sometimes. Might have worked without locking in sense. Seems like it's just hit or miss right now.

Man, this is the only thing that is actually starting to bother me quite a bit! hah.. Hopefully there is a fix for it soon.. as of now.. i'm just single tapping and manually erasing it.. and re-typing the correct word. Kind of a pain.. but so far something i'm willing to put up with.

Swype is aware of the issue, so hopefully they'll resolve it soon. At least we know they're working on it.

Double Tap brings up Android "Edit Text" menu instead of Swype word menu after update

Also I read somewhere that you can click the "swype" button to bring up the list rather then tapping. Not sure if that works or not. I'll try it later.

Ok cool thanks I got it working/on the rc2 but idk have to make it my default voicemail app. I used google voice before and youmail and im not sure how to redirect all my messages to the new one
