I have a problem where the majority of the time when pressing power to turn on the screen, the screen is blank until I touch it with my finger. Not the biggest deal, but it gets obnoxious if you have a pattern lockscreen. Anyone else have this?

I have a lock pattern and that happens to me all the time. I have to guess where the dots are. And sometimes when the dots do show up for my lock pattern, it doesn't accept any patterns, it just sits there once you enter it.

Custom recovery. To me it's cleaner than cwm. It isn't supported by rom manager. Check it out

Any one else having trouble installing Flash 10.2 ? ( rc2) I got " application NOT installed"

#17 is seriously borked up. Had to go back and restore the backup of the previous version.

Try uninstalling the current flash app then infallible new apk

I had a problem with unlocking and jittery bluetooth that required a battery pull, and then got stuck at the white screen.

No worries. The last version worked great and I saw no new features.

Nightly 14 is newer than RC2. For battery life, try using a different kernal. And i haven't had unlocking screen problem.

Thanks. I have decided to do a clean wipe then install nightly 17. I installed a different kernel (Tiamat) but the cell standby time without a signal seems to still be an issue. And the screen issue came back after about an hour or so... I might just have to flash to something else for now.

It's probably your kernel.

The issue was occurring with the stock CM7 kernel, that's why I switched to Tiamat. It's happening with both of them.

Is there a kernel you would recommend?

Flash it like you would with a ROM. Put the zip in the root of your sd card then choose "install from sd" (depends on your recovery, i don't know what it is for RA.) I suggest wiping caches though.

Test out different kernals and see what works for you. I personally use Tiamat's. And i don't change my CPU settings, so i wouldn't know about that.

EDIT: This also compares a lot of the kernals. check it out.

I've tried Tiamat three times and it goes well for awhile and then reboots and gets stuck on the Evo white screen forever. Now on SavagedZen 1.2 CFS HAVS GB and it works very smoothly. I've fallen in love with CM7 this weekend!

I've never had any problems with Tiamat. Glad you found a kernal that works for you.

There's one thing that's keeping me from switching to CM completely.

Is there a way to do the following:

On any sense based ROM, go into "Settings -> Security -> Lock Phone After"

This lets me actually press the power button, but doesn't actually lock the screen. HOWEVER, it does require me to "slide to unlock" so that I don't accidentally ass-call my wife.

The closest thing in CM i've found is the "Screen lock after..." which doesn't require me to type my password to unlock the screen, but also doesn't require me to "slide to unlock."

Does that make sense?

Okay so my new problem but not so big problem is i downloaded the game backbreaker and for some reason on CM7 it wont load the game but on Kings UNleashed it lets me play can someone explain why this is happening?
