[Official] CyanogenMod 7 discussion

Alot of times you wont physically "see" the added stuff in each nightly, sometimes it will be minor bug fixes, behind the scenes optimization, or code clean up.

Also, just because there is a new nightly doesnt mean anything has changed for sure, they are automated builds from a build bot - not a person.
I switch nightly's when the file size changes, but thats just me.

Ok...noob question again...what do I do for voicemails...is there a app I should be using since my sense voicemail app is gone.

You can either download the APK, I have heard there are some very small issues with it in AOSP roms, or you can use Google Voice just for voicemail.

Install Sprint Visual Voicemail on CM7 Original Link

1. Download the Sprint VVM 5.1.0.48 Titanium Backup zip: Download
2. Extract the Sprint VVM 5.1.0.48 Titanium Backup zip to the root of the SD card.
3. Download & install Titanium Backup from the Market.
4. Launch Titanium Backup and make sure Sprint VVM is removed (if not, use Titanium Backup to remove it).
5. Install the Sprint VVM (/sdcard/sprint_vvm_5.1.0.48.apk).
6. Launch Titanium Backup, select Sprint VVM, select Restore and select Data Only.
NOTE: There is App+Data but it doesn't work.
7. Launch the Sprint VVM and "Compose" a message to yourself. It will test send and receive functions of Sprint VVM.
8. Enjoy

I tried this earlier today and works 100% :)

You will still receive 9016 text messages everytime you get a VM but you can use Handcent to block them.

You need a custom kernel for now. Once source becomes available your kernel can implement the changes needed.

Thanks for the heads up. Got it downloaded but I will have to wait until tomorrow when I get home from work.

Edit: Reminder to uninstall the beta version first if you have it. Doesn't say in the market but it did in the email from team win

HDMwIw question: Is the kernel the same one as the kernel in the beta version of HDMwIn or do I have to flash a newer kernel with the market release?

I had an error when I tried to install the kernel for the HDMI app

Quick question. Did you all uninstall the beta version before downloading the one from the market?

Just trying to get a starting point of what might happen.

Yes I uninstalled the beta version first. went to the market and download the new version of HDMwIn. Not knowing if the beta kernel was the same one thats at http://tinyw.in/O1 was the same. I tried to install that one and get an error saying,(Error in /sdcard.hdmwin-kernel-asop_signed.zip (status 6) installation aborted.

If the kernel is the same i could just install the beta version again then uninstallthe the app and put in the market version right?

I restored a backup I had with the beta and looked to see if the kernel was different.
They are but it looks minimal.

Not sure what was changed
