What are folks on CM7 using for video calling? I've found Sprint snuck 4G into my little area of northeast WI, and my fiance had to upgrade to an I-phone (due to some drunken oopsies with her Continuum and no insurance) and we would like to check out the video thing, but so far the only thing that comes close to working is Tango, and either her device is screwing up the video, or my Evo is sending her video from my front facing camera upside down.
-I've tried yahoo chat (downloaded the plug-in) but found no option to select video.
-I tried downloading Qik, but it gave me an error: your/this version of Android is not supported for video chat

Anything I need to do with CM7 RC4 to trouble shoot/fix what I'm seeing with Tango? Anyone else found something that works decently between IOS and Android?

Fring is the only option that I have found that works okay. Tango is the best in my opinion but doesn't work well under CM7. And Fring works between the different phones.

And it appears if I want to call someone without Fring, I would have to purchase credits???

I am running the stable release and all is good, one annoying thing though is that the dialer does not come up after a call, how do I fix that?

There's an app in the Market called "On Call End" that I've been using to change that. I'm not sure if it's built in to CM7 yet. I set mine to go to home screen, but go to dialer is another option in On Call End. Super simple free app.

I got gps to work after some messing around.

First I did a factory reset of sprint lovers that i was currently on, then i did the gps fix and let it restart. I then flashed CM7, the latest SZ kernel, and gapps and booted up.

GPS works so far sitting at my house. Ill try it tomorrow on the road to know for sure.

I use amon ra for flashing and wiping.

So how can I access the menu options such as ##3282# in CM7?

I know if I flash to Sense I can use it, but does it carry over if I flash back to Cm7??

hey guys im using the stable releace right now and i have some sort of problem but cant pin point the source so ill give you whats going on:

cm7 stable
launcher pro
regular kernal

so i was going through the cm settings and i noticed they added a tablet section which i checked out and there is a setting where if you check it the status bar is on the bottom. now it does say that it works on phones so i went and did it.

i have my launcher pro settings that if i click the home botton on the home screen it opens the notification bar. and it works when i click it and the status bar is on the bottom.

i soon didnt like it at the bottom so i unchecked the setting and the status bar went back to normal. but now the home botton doesn't open my status bar. also things freeze up like if i want to compose a message my keyboard is invisible or some applications wont work correctly like tapatak... i click my favorits and its a black screen i have never seen this before with all the nightiles and rc's this just started with me.

anyone have any ideas?

Haven't gotten to it yet. I got side tracked screwing around with swiFTP. Got it to work the first time but now it gives me errors. I can't stand when something doesn't work right. I'll keep going and going until I'm ready to beat something. lol

Back to the usb for now.

As far as the MLB app, I had to move the app to the internal phone memory and that did the trick.

Was having issues with GPS not working from build #37. 39 seems to have fixed the problem. At least I can lock on to my location in maps. Haven't tried out navigation yet. Oh and I did try the GPS fix after flashing CM7 final and it worked intermittently but not reliable enough. 39 is gold so far however. Had an issue with swype not swyping anymore for some odd reason. Did a clean wipe then re-flash and haven't had any problems yet.

I flashed CM 7 final this afternoon and quickly noticed a bug with the notification drawer. In ADW and Launcher Pro if you set the "Home" key to open and close the notification drawer it wouldn't. Not a huge deal for some people but I've gotten very used to hitting "Home" to open and close notifications.

I did a little reading and it was fixed in nightly #39. Flashed it and all is well. I'll test out GPS on my way home. Everything else seems to be working well though. I haven't tried 4g though because I'm almost always on WiFi.
