[Official] CyanogenMod 7 discussion

I was using Tiamat 4.0.2, until agraben updated his Poonkang kernel earlier this morning. I can route audio through the HDMI cable for the first time, and HDMwIn resumes mirroring after it's unplugged and plugged back in!

I hope they fix it soon cause I love the tiamat kernel. so you were running Tiamat 4.0.2 on the newest nightly, how were your results?

Tiamat 4.0.2 was really great on n76, 78 and 80. I typically used smartass and battery life was above average. Performance was excellent, best I've had FPSe run. Once Tiamat merges agraben's newest Poonkang commits, I'll be going back to it. Cameras, GPS etc were all functional, but I still had the very minor 4g on at startup bug. No surprise there.

Keep in mind though, my highest priority is always the HDMI EDID fix, as my Westinghouse TV is 3 years old and needs it! I won't keep any kernel that won't mirror to it. So, since HDMI mirroring has been out, my kernel testing has been limited. Also, I don't do benchmarks as I feel the time wasted doing all of them would be better spent using the phone practically and seeing how it feels. :]

Mmmm so nightly 77 messes up allbmy Widgets on reboot with launcher pro -_- its like I'm back on nightly 13 with all this issues, ughh.

You know youre an EVO addict when you know you downloaded a nightly earlier in the day but can't remember if you actually flashed it

I saw in the changelogs that they were adding a feature to wake the phone by pressing the volume keys.. but i can't see anywhere to turn that on. Has anyone else seen this? It looked like it was new to build #79

I just checked this, and I have the same issue as you.. on 80 I was able to charge to my sprint account if I chose to. Odd!

On a different note, does anyone know what apk's I can get rid of without breaking something? I have alternatives for a lot of things and wouldn't mind getting rid of the stock stuff I don't use.
I've already gotten rid of the dps/dsp manager (cant remember the exact name atm) and the file manager app. Can I get rid of the browser, email, fm radio, and music app too? I'm tempted to nandroid and just try it, but figured I'd ask you all before hand.

Why does the YouTube app just stop working in a middle of a video? It says retry something about losing connection, I'm I the only one that gets this? Its so annoying!

I have not tried with many of those apps, but I do know that removing the default music app seems to be ok. I noticed that the 2.3.3 version and the 3.0 one just released after IO sometimes conflicted so I uninstalled the old one without any noticeable side effects.

I am wanting to switch from the Sprint Lovers ROM to the stable version of CyanogenMod 7.0.3.1

I have downloaded the version onto my computer, as well as the Google Apps. I have done a backup of the current Sprint Lovers ROM with all of my apps on it, as well as backed up my apps via Titanium Backup. What do I need to do next? I am still new to rooting and flashing ROMs, so explicit instructions or a step-by-step guide would be extremely helpful!

back up your text messages if you want. clear everything just like you did when you flashed the sprint lovers rom. flashed the cm7 rom then flash the gaps reboot download titanium back up, restore your apps and enjoy.
