[Official] Gingerbread on June 3

Has anyone had problems with application icons being the generic Android icon for applcations that are on the CD card. I have tried the following to resolve this:

1) Remove the appication from the folder/page and replace it. The icon shows up, but after a restart returns to the generic.
2) Unmount and mount the card.
3) Power off, remove the SD card, replace and then power on. No change.

Odd that this just started after the GB update.

This has happened a few times to me since GB update, try pressing the app anyway and let it run, then after exit out. I did and the program icon came back after I ran the program. Hope that helps.

What's the general consensus of GB for those who have it?

good update with some incremental UI tweaks and "under the hood" efficiency and speed gains but nothing major. as Phil said - "Don't expect unicorns to suddenly pop out of your EVO after the update."

I agree 100%....

Oops!!
I checked to see if my update was availabel...yes, it was there! But I backed out of the screen to activate 4G and now I don't have my update anymore!!

"your phone is up to date" NO it isn't!!! I didn't have the chance to download the update!
Any help? I rebooted the phone, no help...running stock android, not rooted

Turn off 4g search using network only then it should come up and select to "update using network, 4g, or wifi"
