LG updater keeps saying I have latest version. Hmmm....

And you're positive you don't have a refurb? Well son of a gun, it's possible that it's OTA only but I'm not totally sure about that.

Until someone confirms that the update IS available through the LG tool there will be no root method, unless by some act of God the OTA is vulnerable to GingerBreak.

On that note, can someone please grab the OTA update.zip for me?

I'm positive I don't have a refurb. I used the updater tool when I first got the phone to go from V9 to VD. I'll keep trying throughout the day. Still have 5 more hours here at work. But since I no longer have Sprint I can't get it from OTA.

I just tried for an update.

Did a current Nandroid backup

Restored the Stock VD nandroid

Performed a PRL and Client update - there are new ones - PRL 60681 is out

Tried Firmware update and a couple reboots - no luck.

Guess Gingerbread isn't pushed out in our market yet.

Official post said it's a 10-day rollout - not sure if thats 10 business days?

FWIW, I don't know how long PRL 60681 has been out (because I was on CM7), but a few days ago, I switch back to a Reborn Nandroid, updated PRL, and I've had PRL 60681 for a couple/few days now.

I just got the over the air as soon as i reverted back to stock LS670ZVH. I'm not sure I want to take it though.

I didnt revert to ZVH I reverted back to stock ZVD and it gave me the OTA.

I'll P.M. him and see if he knows. I just cant figure out where the OTA is stored. I'm guessing in the cache but i cant find it. As soon as i figure it out i'll post it.

open terminal emulator or adb shell:

$ su
# find / -name "*update.zip*"

should find all files with "update.zip" string in them.
