Telus Canada told me that it wasn't them holding back, it was Samsung Canada have not given the approval to release the JB update for Canadians. I don't no if it is true or not, but the word around here is that it will be late November all Telus Canada customers.

AT least you got a definitive "Late November". Here in the USA, we got a vague "In the coming months" which could be whenever.

doh just installed kies on ma dads ancient laptop, the update was there and downloaded but the laptop didnt hav enough disk space. it needed atleast 3000mb free... why does it need so much memory for a 3xxmb file?
goin home to try it on ours....

That the update is available to you but you are in the queue for OTA. You can either wait a little longer till you are at the front of the queue or use kies to get it now

Can someone help me understand why i cant upgrade via kies?
It got stuck second time .itS been stuck now for 2 hours ...at upgrading component or something.
I just cant do it.
I have upgraded the kiew firmware aswell and my internet connection is perfect
Dont know what else to do

hey. my friend bought a used unlocked s3 in the uk, but cannot upgrade to jelly bean. Where can we see if it's British Unlocked or not? When we try to update, it says:
"access to the software update is provided to users in the order in which they request it. try later."
Does this mean he has to wait? or could we do it through kies instantly?

This means the servers are busy. He may be able to download it through the Kies but, if Samsung is almost overloaded their servers, you guys will have to wait.
