trying to update through kies... the download seems to be stopping at 99% for an hour every time :-/

not big mate no. s3 was already a rocket but its definately there when you look for it. scrolling this page or the app drawer really quickly up+down for example and it follows your finger flawlessly

now still isnt doing much for me but ive hardly left the house lol.

biggest shock is the voice rec' it beats everything out there so i have a widget direct to Now voice just for converting things and doing math, it really saves time and is truly functional (bear in mind i have a strong scottish accent lol).
what i DONT like is say for example i press the button on here to add a pic.. a bunch of apps come up that i can use and on ICS i just tapped one, on JB you have to tap it then press "this time only" so its an extra step.. not good

did you try reinstalling kies and rebooting the pc mate?

hmm nice one Mervin... im considering a reset but 1st im gona root to back up app data etc....
...trouble is, once i root, i wana flash roms and 1ce i do that, i keep wantin to flash..... i heard Cyanogen do OTA updates and that interests me but havent found out if it works in every country and if they wipe your phone....
also i love the TW toggles in not' bar and dont wana lose them....
...my s3 stayed smooth after JB update but maybe it could do with a good reset?

Those still waiting on jellybean i dont know if this helps but its in Trinidad (Caribbean) so maybe sooner than we think for those still waiting...got mine tonight

now i tried updating overtheair. It downloaded jellybean fully then the installation stopped at 24%. At least my phone is ok......

OTA usualy work perfectly... lucky it didnt brick your phone m8.
how was your signal? u gona try again?

can't try again yet. Again with the "please try again later" even though it already downloaded the 284 mb. damn this is driving me crazy seriously....
also, kies got an update and that stops at 99% aswell..... so can't even update kies.
my 3g signal and network is fine...

edit: kies is updated. finally still no jelly bean though

the next bit took me over 2hours (on a terrible connection)

but be patient, the final 10% jumped up pretty fast then my phone had the android dude with stars flying round him lol and then it was done
u can still use the phone until that happens

Thank you very much for those pictures. With my phone, it stops at 99% when preparing. Seems to be freezing all the time. Dunno what to do, and yes i tried rebooting etc
