****Official I Got My S3 Thread****

It's here! I'm going to have to frequent this place since I coming from the original Palm Pre and have never used Android... but so far this phone is sick!! Lots of questions tho....

So no one else received theirs today? .. guess you all ordered the 32GB version like myself (Verizon version)

Just got home from work so I'll be setting up the phone for my wife if any of you have any more questions.. I'll try my best to answer them.

Very first impressions for the 20 minutes of playing with the phone... The pentile screen looks great, they did a great job.. you need a magnifying glass to notice any pixels. TouchWizz flys on this phone. Scrolling through homescreens is the smoothest and quickest of any phone I've seen.. and thats speaking highly for TouchWiz which is known to lag. 2GB of RAM.. this phone is SUPER quick. The only other thing that I've tested so far is speaker volume/call volume (this was a problem on the GNex) ... Volume is decent.. nothing that will blow your ears out but definitely louder than the Galaxy Nexus.

how long does the battery take to charge? im still been waiting on mines for nearly an hour

Just got home from work and still no ups delivery. But I did get a text update from them stating the delivery time between 4 and 7. It's only 6:20 now. So I won't be getting anxious for another 40 minutes.

I love the fact the the last the latest two phones the EVO and the SGSIII have caused this much excitement that we are snapping pics of the UPS man walking up to the door with our new toys!! Man thats just golden...

mine is still charging im getting sick of looking at it every 5 seconds hoping it turns green so i can get ready to activate it

EDIT: OMGGGGGGGGG IT just finished charging, lets goooo!

Got mine, took forever to activate it too.


But that being said, it's super nice. I like the blue color!

Mine took like three seconds to activate. It has taken me almost three hours to customise though.

The craziest thing for me is the resolution difference. I can't look at the evo 4g screen now.
Also it is so Damn light and thin. Pebble blue looks way better in person

Ordered June 6th, came at 5:30 today, didn't think it would ever show up (it showed that it left the facility here at 1 am). White 16gb, so glad I'm back to Android. I couldn't stand the iPhone, though I still love my iPad.

My thoughts while I was preordering my phone... Well Sprint didnt get the Evo LTE the day it was supposed to come, Best Buy did though. Plus i've preordered from Best Buy before and received the phone/games the day they were supposed to come out. That makes Best Buy more credible. Ok, So I preorder with Best Buy. Guess who made the wrong decision and is going nuts over it? This guy. lol Congrats to those that got theirs today though

This whole supply & demand issue is probably the best reason for NOT doing the pre order as much as we want to be the first person on the block with the latest and greatest...

I slap down my cash when the phone is in the store, in front of me...

I know its a rotten thing doing business this way but at least the carriers & manufactures are running to the bank with my hard earned money before I even get a device that isn't in their hands either

By the time I can get my hands on a Galaxy S III to call my own the next phone will be announced (Although I would love to have it sooner). Point is I never agree with preordering any kind of electronic device because there almost always is supply issues at first. Its better to wait a few months and wait for supply to increase.
