For the most part it feels the same. All the camera options are the same. The gallery is better and you can now enter the gallery with a simple swipe from the camera app. While in the gallery if you pinch it enters a film strip mode. Other than that I am not sure what else is different. Possibly some tweaks to the camera itself but I haven't played with it enough to be able to tell.

Remember GNex is more about the software than the hardware.. Basically meaning its more about providing that AOSP experience. You want better camera with more software features you need to go with a UI device like SG3 or HOX, etc. where the OEM gets its chance to throw in Samsung or HTC, Motorola, etc. optimized software/firmware to improve the camera features and other things.

AOSP is more about it works, its clean and simple...

Give this a shot. The developer has 2 ICS versions available as well, 1 is free. It's basically the stock app but with some added features. Might be perfect for what you want. I also am liking the new version of Vignette.

Here is something that I have noticed since the JB update.

I use ADW as my launcher. When I turn it on or reboot, the system asks me which launcher to use, ADW or stock.
I choose ADW and hit the "Always" button, but it does not take.
Next time I boot up, it asks it again.
I removed and reinstalled the ADW Launcher, but it still does the same thing.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Several issues across the board. Good...battery has been better so far during high data usage. Screen swipes are faster, folders open faster. Bad and ugly...most of the apps I use, if I press the return button one time, I go back to home screen or app tray. This is very frustrating when I only need to go back one level or page or a simple return after saving a setting. The Android central app is the worst about this. In the 2.2.2 OS recent call log was stuck just where it was left, once I had waited for a plain vanilla Android phone it came stock with ICS. Hooray! Every time I went to favorite contacts, recent calls, my log started at the most recent. Major upgrade from what I had. 4.0.4 was all that I have wanted, everything worked flawlessly.
After a discussion with a sprint tech at the local cooperate store, if I downgrade to ICS, JB will be pushed to my phone again.
Like I mentioned in another post, if I wanted updates to be forced down my throat I would have gone iPhone.
I do understand some users had issues with ICS on their devices, but when it comes down to it shouldn't the user have the say-so when their device gets updated? I.e. someone experiencing issues with their device wants the upgrade and on the other hand someone has absolutely no issues is forced to update and now the device becomes a TURD! just like the p!o!s! Samsung Moment.
Sorry Sprint, Samsung, Android, Google you effed this one up.

Cheers

GPS is horrible! Got tired of waiting for a location fix and closed Google maps.

Try this....go into the location settings and uncheck "Google's Location Service" and then recheck it. Took it a second to lock on, but finally did.

Thanks guys. That seemed to help, but I noticed the reboot time is longer now that JB is running, does this sound normal?

I feel like the JB OS is very similar to froyo only faster. So fast its tripping over its own feet.

The sensitivity of this thing is crazy.

try Nova Launcher and you can adjust speed and animations in the settings.

Stock Rom. ICS. I was rooted but reverted via Odin and am running complete 100% unrooted stock so I can have the official OTA.

If your 100% sure that the device is just as it came from the factory, you might try a factory reset and see if it finds it then. If not, a trip to the ol' Sprint store may be in order.
