Official Jelly Bean Update. Thoughts or complaints??

same here. i just noticed this today when my football team was playing

your mms setting should fix that

Aaaactually no he's right.

Non stock Android devices (like HTC phones) do split up the text. Stock Android, at least from ICS on, has not done this. I always just assumed it was patented and the other manufacturers are paying the licensing fee.

Aaactually you didn't read wtf I said. Stock Android converts to MMS after 160 characters. I know it doesn't split. Read before you post, please. I'm trying to say this does neither, which is annoying as hell.

It has worked so far for other browsers. I don't know what is wrong with chrome?

First one is crime chrome then the second one down is from dolphin beta. Wtf is wrong with chrome?
I just tried on Chrome and downloading pics works there for me too. Maybe you should try Uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome and see if that helps.

I received the update, but when I went to reboot my phone froze on the shutting down screen. I had to take out my battery, and now I can't get my phone to get the ota. Is there something that would prevent it from finding the update since I have already downloaded it? Any help is appreciated.

I like the update a lot. But have noticed, everyone once in a while some screen freeze and takes a few to respond. Also, I use Dolphin Browser which takes a bit to open. Getting to be a bit frustrating, but overall I like the update.

No, the phone is/was completely stock. I forced the update as I have done in the past. The download completed and went to the prompt asking if I wanted to reboot and install but froze on the shutting down box that appears when the phone is powered down. Maybe this is a stupid thought, but I don't know if the downloaded files are somewhere on my phone and preventing me from receiving the update. I have tried to force the update a few times since this happened and have not been able to receive it.

I love the update, having had it for some time now on my Xoom and was lookig forward to getting it on my Nexus. However, it's more battery hungry than ICS even with the 2100 mA battery. In my area, where they are working on 4G (Washington DC area, I am out of battery in 6 hours and being a physician, can't use my nexus for that - unless I turn off data and everything else, but then why have the phone. Had to go back to my S3 until they get the towers fixed. Even on it, the battery is starting to drain faster than it had been. :( SPRINT HURRY UP AND GET THE TOWERS DONE - AT LEAST 3G, GEEZ!

Someone I know who has been using Google now for a few weeks told me it takes a few weeks to really get going good for you.

Thanks. Where is the "thanks" button that was here before the site makeover?

thought the next OS was called Key Lime Pie?

Yeah, I was taking a shot in the dark. Never actually looked it up. Key Lime Pie is way cheesier than cheesecake. Haha.

it seems pandora does not work after the update. i like everything that it has brought to the table so far. I for some reason can not get google now to get me my Patriots scores. It willl however read back red sox scores, and announce upcoming games. Hopefully google now gets better as the days go by

I have tried to use the "my "ibrary" widget and it always makes the os lag. Has anyone else experienced this?

Confirmed.

Also, if Sprint eventually releases an OTA to fix these random issues, will I be able to flash this (currently nonexistent) update with CWM? (No, I'm not applying that an update is available. I'm just remaining hopeful that eventually these issues will be fixed.)

I'm sure there will be an update released at some point to address some of the bugs. Currently, I don't think any of the other officially supported devices running Jelly Bean have received any patches/fixes to JellyBean so don't feel like were being missed. I can say that Google has Jelly Bean in its 4th revision (version) update of JellyBean AOSP source so there are changes going on that hopefully will get pushed out eventually to all our devices.

I see. And as for having CWM?

Re: Sprint Galaxy Nexus Extended Battery-The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Are those of you with text issues using the stock app?

Overall the update is nice for me, I don't think I'm getting notifications for Friendcaster but other than that things seem good.

No idea on battery life improvements. 3G speeds seem the same. Signal strength does too which was something I wish was better because the signal at my work is bad and drains the battery fast. It was the same with my Epic 4G as well, probably a Samsung thing.

The new features are pretty nice. I'll give Google Now a run for a bit. The notification area I like even more. The camera app is better, not sure if the camera has been tweaked but I'd bet no.

If this is only while charging, verify settings--> developer options --> stay awake

I don't know about you guys, but I've had terrible WiFi connectivity since I updated. Apparently I'm not alone either. There are quite a few people with his problem on the GSM Nexus. Here are a couple of threads about I found on Google Groups and Google Code.

Is it me or does the screen look more crisp or clear with JB? Or is it just my eyes looking for something that is not there?
