The modified apk works just fine on my stock Optimus V. It's nice that I didn't have to root it or modify any system files!

Working now with the modified apk, I too have the green bar up top and I have dual images both with the color a bit off kilter.

wish there was a way to fix this issue with the stock rom..
However all mods I have done just made the app worse off..
I'm hoping this is just a 2.2 rom issue & once 2.3 releases the green bar & color offset will be fixed..

Sorry I can't do more but I'm happy it's working none the less ya know~

Not blaming you in the least Scootincivic. Messing around to get this working is why I dumped my iphone and got an android. I love tinkering with electronics.

Does Netflix render your phone laggy? For instance, I'd hit the back button during playback and it may take upwards of two to three seconds for it to register. Sometimes my video freezes and locks up while the sound continues to work... and then the frame may get skippy or catch up at a later scene. I had it totally freeze on me once.

I'm using Harmonia.

I can confirm that the modified .apk works on my rooted Optimus V.

I can also confirm the green bar at the top of videos. (not very large, not really a problem)

I have not noticed any significant lag to the OS.

Streaming over 3G is very choppy, but WiFi seems to do a good job.

Modified rotation .apk has been added to the first post..

What this build does is allow a portrait or landscape mode vai streaming our browsing the app..

Works for me let me know if it works for you please..

Greenbar has been reported to be had with all 2.2 our less roms..
All users running any roms that are 2.3+ should not have the color offset nor the greenbar issues..

If any other updates are to be had I will make sure to post them~

Android Market still does the device check for me...

It's the .apk itself that no longer has device check. It still won't show up in the market unless you have an officially supported device (or you change the settings on your phone to present itself to the market as one of the supported devices).

I wonder if the updated version (not the device check part, as that had already been removed with modified .apk) works any better on the Optimus V.

Nope, same color shift as the previous version. It seemed to load things a little faster but that could just be me wanting it to work lol.

Witch is why I did'ent update the newest apk on my first post..

With stock roms and issues with stagefrite it's rather pointless to mod the apk as there will always be issues while using the apk on a stock rom one way or another..

x2 i installed bb rom from aosp and when i went to setup netflix im getting a version check then when going to the market the app is not found. somebody update the new netflix app

Also I have noticed that in some cases you may pick a flix & netflix will go back to the main menu.. If thats the case just resume the movie & it should then stream..
I'll see if I can fix this issue..
But for now it's better then nothing..

Newest official linked in first thread is not working completely for me.
Everything works up until I play a video. I have sound, but only a white screen.

I'm running the new aosp 2.3.4 / cm7.

EDIT: Rebooted my phone and its working fine now. Thanks!
