lol i have still not been pushed the MR2 update!!! But to install this would wipe your phone correct.

Correct all RUU's factory reset your phone.
Essentially this is storing the file on your phone unzip, then boot into your bootloader, and select the update.zip file and it creates a whole new phone.

I'm going to go lay down and watch some television while I play around with the Gingerbread update. However, as of right now, my local Wi-Fi Network is working flawlessly. I will post any updates tonight if I run into any problems.

Quick observation. When docked in the HTC dock, it opens up an official dock app similar to the Motorola dock. You can even set it to automatically activate a hot spot and other features. Winning!

Stock, Netflix won't connect but it is an error and not DRM so we will see if it fixes.

Edit - Netflix works, was just a glitch

This is not rooting your phone. You are installing an officially released software from HTC.

Can anyone who installed this confirm if the GPS is dropping satellites every few seconds like it has been on the official MR2 release? Hopefully that is fixed in this release.

I can confirm this works on unrooted T-Bolts. It does wipe your data, so back up your sd card first and all your installed apps.

Wifi works, 3G works (don't have 4G in Richmond VA), and GPS works as before I installed this update.

Now I gotta spend hours getting all my apps and settings and homescreens back, hehe.

But, under Phone info, it says 2.3.4. Yay for GB without rooting!

This is not rooting your phone. You are installing an officially released software from HTC.

I'm still going to wait for the OTA release, I don't want to reload anything after an update.

But thanks to you brave souls who are willing to jump in and report back.

I wasn't able to establish root access... I am coming from root that is. I am glad this is available now, but this is the same build Chingy's roms are which we have had for a while now I believe.

I'm planning on trying this build out and have a stock non-rooted TB as well. My main setback is WiFi connection, can anyone confirm if WiFi works or not, thanks!

Wifi is working like a charm for me that wifi issue was with a different one of the rom's not the official full ruu

My 4g in Herndon, VA is working just fine.
