Yeah I was able to get an order in myself. I refreshed the page a few times then it finally popped up.

I'd seen the add to cart pop up a few times earlier, always ened up with the "oops" error and an empty cart when clicking on it tho. As of about 10:30am PST I have not seen the add to cart option pop up again and I've been hitting f5 like a speed freak lol.
I am sooo glad I did not give up. Thanks everyone who gave me hope I could still get the phone. I finally got a 16gb after 2 hours!
does google cancel multiple orders automatically? i want to use my discover card instead of my visa for the extra warranty...
I had the same problem. Added the Chrome Extension called "Auto Refresh Plus" and had it alert me when the word "In Stock" appeared. Worked like a charm and managed to get the order through.
See my post above. I took a screen shot of the email, it has the time to prove it. Eagerly awaiting my Nexus 4.
Oh wow! That's crazy. Considering the duplicate orders were due to Google server issues, they should let you cancel them anyway!

Well my sister keeps hammering the F5 and tells me the cart appears, she puts the phone in the kart and gets an error and then it's deleted. I'm so helpless stuck here at my job.

I think I'm just screwed. my work computer only has IE7 (and no i can't install another browser) and when I finally get a phone into my cart I hit the proceed button and a spinning circle comes up and it just freezes there. I have already gone through this like 5 times incuding when they were first avaliable. I have a feeling that some setting or incompatibility with IE7 is preventing me from getting any further in the ordering process. I would try to order it from my phone but I have basically zero reception at work so it's just not possible.

For anyone who's having trouble, this is what I had to do. I was using Safari and was already logged into my account, so I think my problems had something to do with caching from previous attempts to purchase. Long story short, here are my steps:
1) Use a fresh web browser or clear your cache in your current browser
2) Log out of your Google account.
3) Refresh the hell out of the product page.
4) Once you see "Add to Cart", do it.
5) Sign into your G account
6) Check out.
7) Refresh the hell out of your Google Wallet page to see when they ship your Nexus 4.

my Google Wallet still shows it as pending. Will it go through once the order is shipped or is it bugged?

Google Play store, go to the bottom of the page, click My Orders and you will see it there under status.
Keep trying guys! I just successfully ordered a 16GB at 2:10 PM EST, with the confirmation email following a minute or two later. I was using page monitor, and every time it would ding I would refresh. Finally it went all the way through!

hmm my status just shows complete and then the info link to my order completed
