Sorry I won't be getting any of those in the poll. Ill be getting the Pre3 with like specs a better OS and the Touchpad. Coupled will give me a true futuristic experience of what a 2011 device is supposed to be. Im so tired of swiping left to right. Weve been doing this for 5 years now. SMH

Don't care about 3D. Not knocked out over the Nexus either. Sticking with the Evo for awhile. It does everything I need it to.

I plan on getting the Evo 3D. Even without the 3D, the phone looks to be amazing.

Question though. I switched to Sprint last August and have the $69 plan+$10 "premium" data for the Evo. It was my understanding that I would no longer qualify for the annual upgrade being that it would probably fall under Silver status. I got on Sprint's webchat support and they said I was eligible to upgrade in July though. Is the guy who I talked to wrong? I have the transcript saved on email.

Evo 3D. I got to use it today at CTIA and it blew me away.

Historically, after six or eight months I'd be dead bored with my phone and jonesin' for the Next Big Thing. This time around I'm still in love enough with my EVO to hang in with it for another year. Especially given the prospect of Gingerbread and an upgrade to Sense in the offing. Having said that, I'd love a dual-core device with better screen resolution and a nice memory boost. Hopefully in a year Sprint will have figured out what version of 4G they're gonna go with and penetrate it to more than a couple of miles outside of Boston.

Thats good you got it saved. But I think he had the wrong year?

+ 1

Exactly my thoughts!

i'm very close on deciding on the evo, i just need to see it actually being put into the case that has the kickstand attached, i want to see if the back still looks ugly if i put the case on it and if its unbelievably thick, or if its like the innocase II

No he is right. He can upgrade in July or August for $75 off retail.

Go to Sprint Zone and go to upgrade. You will have to text a number and it will tell you when you will get the $75 off at 1 year and full upgrade after 2 years.

Now everyone read this post and never ask an upgrade question again.

I just got off the phone with Sprint's retention department and they told me something similar. They said that I am still eligible for my annual upgrade this year in June (got the Evo at launch), but will lose it next year. I am on the $129.99 per month family plan and have only been with Sprint for 2 years.

Thanks maybe that how it is for the rest of us too?

That's because some low level tech just looked at your upgrade date and saw June.

Considering the change isn't being made until April 1st, they have no reason to tell you otherwise.

Now if you call April 2nd and they tell you the same thing, well... then it's a whole different ball game.

/also on the $129 family plan. That's actually $139. And will be auto-raised to $149 next time wife upgrades...

Actually, I will probably be headed to an iPhone. I love my Evo, but I really just want the synchronization with my Mac and the battery life. Also, having had my phone since launch (and this as my first smart phone), I have figured out Sprint has great voice coverage in my area but the data coverage is horrible. At work and at home I have no 3G coverage. I am restricted to 1x data usage. It makes the point of this phone kind of useless.

I could suggest going to t-mobile, lots cheaper and they might have coverage in your area. Also, check out the sprint air rave in the meantime by calling sprint and requesting one at that point they will check the coverage in your area and send you one for free.

Att & verizon are the most expensive carriers, with data caps and other non-sense. If youre worried about the tmo/att merge, its going to take at LEAST 18-24 months before it matter to us consumers so no worries :p

Since my evo hasn't given me problems n I'm very satisfy with this product I'm getting the evo 3d

That still neglects the fact that I wouldn't have service in my office. Granted, that isn't a problem because my internet is not restricted. Still, it is a problem.
