Oh boy, release pushed to December :/

Say it ain?t so!

Just a guess, but maybe Christmas is a factor? I know big video games (usually Activision games...) "extend the testing phase" around this time of year so this happens constantly. That would be my first guess.

But at the same time I would believe it if they said they were still testing it. It's Google and new software, so it's highly likely, but not my primary guess.

Re: Oh boy :/

I agree. The only reason I'm with Verizon is because of the discounts through my job. I actually like T-mobile better and, wish At&t wasn't trying to buy them. I'm tempted to import the GSM version also. I've been patient but, never thought things would go this way.

This is all very frustrating. :(

Whose fault was it when it took 6 months for GSII to get to the US. Those are all non-Verizon carriers. I don't see any difference between the two. Verizon hasn't officially announced the phone (maybe there are still issues with the LTE radio, maybe they just don't want to cannibilize sales of the Razr and Rezound). Quite frankly, just like the Bionic, if Verizon hasn't announced it yet, then they can't be late. Another thing, Verizon has the best voice network and most reliable (not fastest) 3G network and only widely available LTE network. Also, they now have inexpensive 4G/LTE phones (Pantech Breakout and Samsung Stratosphere). If you don't like Verizon go somewhere else (Regional or other of the Big 3). Verizon is going to what it thinks is best for Verizon (not even necessarily us - its customers).

Along the same lines, if you don't like that people are (justifiably) upset with Verizon go somewhere else. No one is making you read these comments. It goes both ways.

adding more fuel to the fire, Droid Life just tweeted:

"November 28 at the earliest for the Galaxy Nexus. #whatwejustheard"

Poor Google. The made a big announcement for a phone that couldn't even sell in their own country for over a month. We might not see another Nexus device on Verizon after this debacle.

Well at least now I can stop refreshing this forum 100x a day.

"at the earliest" certainly isn't what I want to hear though.

It is honestly becoming a sad affair when Verizon releases phones. If I were some of there partners my view of them would be slightly soured. The rezound should be a droid device IMHO. The specs are very high end and in my opinion beat out the Razr as far as software and internal specs and only loses on the hardware front but still. I mean they are clearly bending over for motorola and saying have fun to everyone else. Google should be sick of them by now. I mean they announced the phone over a month ago and are still waiting to even be able to make an announcement. If they treated apple this way we would never see an I-device on Verizon again as they laugh there way out the door giving Verizon the finger!

At least it's a date. I am now looking forward to a 5-day holiday weekend. Zelda should keep my interests diverted until then...

It's a date but so was the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 18th, 21st and now the 28th.

Notice a pattern?

I don't see any other US carriers doing better. Now before you say Verizon exclusive...that was never officially confirmed.

Verizon is never getting another Nexus after this. Just embarrassing for Google. They announce a phone in October and can't sell it in their home country until almost December. Wow.
