If this is true, can you imagine this happening to an iPhone? The presser was almost one full month ago. And there isn't even a hard release date yet.

So poorly handled.

One of the main reasons you see the difference in how things are handled is the different corporate philosophies of Apple vs. Google when it comes to marketing. Apple highly values marketing and has a highly skilled, dedicated marketing team with a big budget and lots of resources. Google doesn't do things the same way, and has a much smaller marketing group with much smaller budgets and resources. I know a tiny bit about it because I interviewed for a marketing position with Google a few months ago and one thing they asked me was how I would promote and market the next Nexus phone without having a big marketing budget or access to traditional media outlets.

So, I think that sort of philosophy goes throughout. Google think more about the technical aspects and less about the marketing/perception aspects of the launch.

Note: I am not an insider or source of information but I talked a a store manager just now.

He has not had such a meeting, heard such a thing, nor believes it.

Why is it when we get so close things seem to get so far?

EDIT: Such a delay is probably why we haven't heard an official launch date from Verizon yet. Today's Monday, the 14th and the 17/18th was to be this week. I figured we would have a good chance at seeing a release date today.

Instead....we get a delay.

Well... my phone has been dead.
FOR 6 MONTHS. WITHOUT A PHONE. I AM GOING INSANE.

First, I waited for the GS2, only to have Verizon deny us all a week before the US release. Then I joined the @#$*ing fiasco that is the nexus waiting line.

And now Verizon keeps PISSING ON US ALL! !@#$ THEM AND THE HORSE THEY RODE IN ON!

I've been following P3Droid for about six months now. He has just enough inside information to be credible, but he's thirsty for attention and it causes him to misuse it. He'll seamlessly mix fact with opinion, and opinion with speculation.

I don't think it's malicious. But P3 definitely likes to stir the pot sometimes to get people talking about him.

And then there was the BS over a week ago of him having a razr, then when someone asked for a size comparison, he didn't have one, then he was surprised his shipment didnt come in the day before release...

Check his timeline. He lies as much as he tells the truth.

Can someone say thunderbolt launch madness? The fact that this phone is being released the same way is a travesty. Verizon could give two craps about this phone so I am sure they are not helping this release at all! The whole training has started and accessories are already at the store crap is screaming thunderbolt communication issues!

You do know that Google and the Android team are based in California, right? I mean, more than likely there were liberals, and people from all walks of life, who had a hand in its creation.
