The anti-LG bias shines again on this site. Not a single mention of the V60 in the latest front page article as shown here:

Best Android Phones in the U.S. for 2020 https://www.androidcentral.com/best-android-phones-us

You get more than what you get on the OP8 and Note 10 for a cheaper price...dual screen case, headphone jack and even stylus pen support as well as a better camera with hifi audio capability, a quad DAC... I can go on..but NOOO not a single mention of this fact in that article and I don't even wanna start with the fact that there still isn't a dedicated V60 forum.

Well, for this there's no point in starting as there are several threads in the feedback forum section (WAAAYYYY down at the bottom, which might give a clue as to why this is the case) that indicate no new forum sections are being added. One reason for this being that there's some stuff going on behind the scenes in preparation for some updates/changes. Oh yeah - one of those threads is actually asking for a V60 forum!!

Best VALUE Flagship, the OnePlus 8 Pro?!?!?

It's $1399 CAN for the 8GB/128GB and $1549 CAN for the 12GB/256GB.

I guess being "cheaper" than the Samsung Galaxy Ultra does make it a better value. LOL

I don't have experience with any of those other phones, but I'm actually not surprised at the lack of a V60 mention. On paper, I was very excited. Now that I've used it about a week, there's a lot to be desired. Instead of listing it all, just look at what the V20 had that the V60 doesn't. I plan to keep it, but it's been more disappointing than i expected.

cannot wait for some of the behind the scenes to come about. hope they took some of the user complaints about the forum setup into consideration.

There are currently no new subforums being created due to the abovementioned plans to transition to different forum software. The higher-ups are also looking to trim down the granularity of the subforums, such that discussions would take place in somewhat broader categories.

To be fair, it's not just Android Central that doesn't pay a lot of attention to LG -- that's been the general trend in tech news sites overall. One of their biggest problems in my mind is that they make decent enough hardware, but their subsequent support for that hardware is almost nonexistent (despite LG's vaunted "Update Center":p).

Are you kidding? The V60 so far has been the best phone I've had.

What's disappointing about it? Care to elaborate?

What's disappointing about it? Care to elaborate?

Here's what I listed in the main V60 thread on my initial thoughts during the setup.

1. It's tall. Really tall. As in I can't reach the top 25% of the screen with one handed use. I'd much rather it have a bezel to house the camera, sensors, and a killer speaker, if not just be shorter all together.

2. Speaking of bezels, it needs one on the bottom too. I have to strain to reach the navigation buttons with one hand use, and constantly typing a row above where I intended on the keyboard. I know i can use gesture navigation, but that has its own drawbacks. A bezel would allow for better one hand use, plus give room to turn that bottom firing speaker up to front firing and better sound. The bottom bezel on the V20 was perfect.

3. It's not the slickest phone I've held, but still slippery. The back glass also feels more like plastic than glass, which I actually like.

4. The flashlight is rather dim compared to other phones.

5. The stock gallery doesn't seem to allow you to sort albums by name, only by date modified. If anyone knows if that's fixable, I'd love to know. Otherwise I'm switching to a third party gallery that is almost a direct clone of the V20's gallery.

6. Could they have cut the side protective film into any more pieces???

7. Anyone that thinks you need above 1080p on a phone display is just blowing smoke. It's the sweet spot on a phone, but the option for 90Hz refresh would've been nice to have (120Hz is not noticably better than 90Hz).

8. I thought i would like what looked like fine tuning of the display color calibration, but I barely saw any differences when making changes.

9. Tons of junk to disable/delete.

10. I can already tell battery life is good, even with all the extra setup going on. Just sucks that it's sealed.

Since then I've found I don't like the layout of the camera controls. On the V20, the buttons and sliders were along the edges and in easy reach with thumbs while allowing both hands to hold the phone steady. The V60 has them almost in the middle of the screen, so you have to hold with only one hand while making adjustments. That's a big deal for shooting in manual mode.

The display also has major color shifting when looking at an angle, especially at 45° or more.

When watching videos, I see those massive black bars of blank screen on the sides (when viewing in landscape) and think, "Look at all that wasted space." They could've easily cut a half inch off the phone if they stuck with a regular 16:9 ratio, and still had room for bezels to help with ergonomics and get rid of the obnoxious camera notch.

About the only complaint I had with the V20 is poor cell reception, which seems to be just as bad on this one.

So why am I sticking with it? Because it's the least bad of all the other cookie cutter flagships out there. Anything less and I'd give up camera performance or other features (not that there's many that stand out anymore to me), or just simply too risky based on all the problems that seem to pop up with lower tier phones on here.

(Hey, you asked me to elaborate. So I elaborated. )

Value does not always equal low price

So far the V20 still reigns supreme for me, as a total package. So no, not kidding. Lol
The V20 was the most underated device of it's release year. Unfortunately it was released at a time when the trend shifted towards glass sandwiches and became sorely overlooked

Yeah, I was shocked at the CAN prices too! I was thinking about it a bit for an upgrade later on and then I was like, "NOPE!"
