My husband & I are both bionic users & we decided to see what this rooting business was all about. He tried out ICS & while we both liked it, we found sone things werent working yet(like the camcorder...did anyone else running ICS get that too??) Anyway, we decided to try Liberty on mine. I liked it but too similar to gingerbread...so now we are both running Eclipse... while i miss a few things from GB, Im loving my bionic wayyy more.

Yeah I ran the ics with a couple versions and had the same issue as you....once it is more stable I will try again....I have eclipse 2.2 and change themes about once a month lol.....

I've got Safestrap installed and am running stock rooted and CM9. I've had it on CM9 for 3 straight days now and so far I haven't missed anything that's not working. I don't think I've ever used the video camera on a cell phone except to test it. So far everything else seems to be fine. Of course the beauty of Safestrap is that it only takes a few minutes to switch back to stock if I can't do something in CM9.

Welcome to the addiction. I'm running stock rooted .902 with bloat frozen with Titanium. I want to try Eclipse but right now the Bionic is running so sweet I don't want to mess with it.

Eclipse is a modified Gingerbread, I can't remember if it was still using the Blur launcher but I don't think it was. There are a few things now working in ICS, camcorder, panorama, flash, and hardware acceleration. I use the CM9 version, and I don't really miss not having a video camera too much, but no hardware acceleration is kind of annoying.
I've heard good things about Liberty too.
