Stock Note 4 on T-Mobile here.

No matter what launcher I use, the "From Any Screen" option turns itself off.

I always turn it on and exit the settings, then notice it turned itself off when I try to use it while another app is open.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions for a fix?

Thank you.

Turn svoce back on and then disable the "hello galaxy". Samsung's audio recognition. Software. Is tied to sVooice, you don't have to use it...but it does have to be enabled.

I'll have to give it a shot. Thanks.

Exactly where is the disable hello galaxy button?

So far, re-enabling S Voice has worked with respect to "OK Google" detection while other apps are open.

However, on previous phones, once the command is given, the Now microphone card that shows you the text you're speaking would appear on top of whatever app is open. This is not happening. The feature doesn't seem to be functioning properly.

I have also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the apps, but no luck in achieving full functionality thus far.
