I've heard this argument several times. What exactly is the phone so capable of doing while it is locked? Calling someone? Sending someone a text message? Making an appointment on the calendar? Taking a note? I just don't get it. You can't unlock the phone with OK Google. The lock screen remains on. You can't browse the contents of the phone, look at the pics, etc. The worst I can see is someone being able to send a text (without attachment) or call someone while pretending they are you. Am I missing something here?
You're exactly right! Not to mention, Google gives us the option in " personal results" to allow the phone to carry out the command despite the phone being locked. I want to be able to set a timer without touching my phone, especially if I'm preparing a meal and my hands are busy or soiled from what ever I'm preparing. I want certain apps to have the ability to bypass the Lockscreen via "ok Google! " it allows you to check the time or respond to an internet search while locked...So why not make it completely on a per app basis based on my selection?
