AC Question

I was given an old Galaxy S model SGH-T959V with firmware 2.3.6 running Android kernel 2.6.35.7

As I already use a Nexus 5 running Android 5.1, this old Samsung's version of Android is really pitiful and quite unusable. If there any way to get a clean version of Android 4.something on this old phone or should I just deposit it at the recycling center?

BTW, it's a T-Mobile phone. I haven't asked them to unlock it yet but, if that needs to be done first, I don't think they'll have a problem doing this for me (assuming it can even be done).

Thanks in advance for any sage advice.

Unfortunately no. For one it has too little RAM to run the OS, it only has 512MB today's phones have between 2-4GB and its a phone from the Gingerbread days which is way too long ago.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it was a long shot...and that gives me an idea how to dispose of this puppy. I'll bring it to the gun range.
:D
