Samsung galaxy s3 miscellaneous file how to delete or reset

My Galaxy s3 has 4.6gb of miscellaneous files, Are they necessary? how can you remove them?

They're mostly the data your apps save. If you have a folder in there for an app you no longer run, you can delete it. Otherwise, deleting an app's Misc folder is like deleting its data and settings.

How? Tap the app name to select its files. Once at least one app is selected, there should be a trash can at the top of the screen. When you have all the apps you're sure you want to delete data from, tap the trash can.
