Welcome to Android Central! The RAM (i.e., the 248 MB out of 1.2 GB available) doesn't enter into the equation, because the system wants to keep RAM mostly full -- in Android, empty RAM is wasted RAM.
As for your internal storage, you generally can't uninstall preinstalled system apps or bloatware, unless you root the phone. You can Disable some of them, which will revert them back to their factory version (thereby saving some space, since updated apps are often bigger than the original), but that can cause some problems, depending on the app. Fortunately, you can always go back and re-enable the app.
