I really would like to get a nexus style On screen button. Not a hovering one that just goes over the screen. The reason I want it is because I'm not a fan of the HTC One capacitive buttons. I tried the qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 thing but I guess it only works for galaxy devices. Does anyone know how I can do this? my phone is rooted and I have android 4.3.

I'll have to look into this for you, radsherwin. I did it on the Note 2 and 8, surely we have a solution.

Hmm, from what I see from searching around, this works on any phone, not just Galaxy devices.

What ROM are you using? Maybe try a ROM like Paranoid Android, AOKP, or P.A.C. Man.

Thans everyone for helping. I have Android Revolution 20.1 or something like that. I'm Looking into getting the PAC Man rom but I like Sense 5. Maybe I can make a backup of my current system. Wipe then flash PACMAN then backup that. So I can Switch between the two in a way. lol

If you have a GSM phone, try out MoDaCo Switch. It's pretty rad and lets you boot between GPe and Sense without flashing.

Im not a fan of th elimitation of stock android. I just got PACMAN It it looks pretty good but I have some questions/problems
Why is everything so tiny. I feel like the whole system feels small and tiny.

I've never run that rom, so I don't know. Switch doesn't eliminate stock Android, it gives you the ability to boot into either vanilla Android (nexuslike) or Sense (for all the camera goodness.)

That was a typo I meant Limitation.

Understood. Switch will allow you to boot into two full OS versions. You can either be on "vanilla" or Sense. It only takes a minute or so to switch between them. Both are full experiences. Sense is currently at version 5 with Android 4.2.2 and GPe is at Android 4.3. Paul updates it with the latest stable versions he can regularly. I think you should check it out before making a final decision. It doesn't make a huge impact in my use, as I stay on Sense almost exclusively, however for people like you this is the ideal solution.

Anyone find a solution for the onscreen buttons? I have also tried the build.prop edit on the One but it doesn't work. I've done that on my note 2 many times before.
