I'm planning to buy a new phone, and I've narrowed it down to two: the ones above.
I do know each device's strengths and weaknesses, and if summarizing the characteristics..

M9: Nice design, nice software, nice speakers etc, but unremovable battery.
Note 4: Seems to be a beast on specs and has removable batteries, but lacks in design.

My usual phone pattern is listening to music or browsing, and playing games for 1~2hrs.
Now, the overheating actually isn't a problem for me, since I went through N1. And lack of specs isn't a problem too, 'cause I play games of 2013~4.
But the battery - that's my biggest concern from the M9. It "will" deteriorate, and HTC withdrew from my country, so I can't replace it. (+ No A/S)

So...what do you think?

Hmm, the Edge...I thought that the additional screen on the side is unneeded for me.
What are its uses?

It's way more functional than the edge on the S6 and S6+. I use it for quick switching between apps, notifications and keeping my home screen empty and uncluttered. I absolutely love the Edge screen. I added a couple screen shots of my most used edge panels. You can add more edge panels, also screen capped, and download apps that are specific to the edge panel, such as a camera app etc. I love the night clock as well. I didn't think the edge panel was going to be that great but I lean very heavily on it. I barely launch my app folders.
