So, I am going to return / swap my G4 for another today to see if I can get one with no screen issues. (couldn't turn my alarm off at all). But, yesterday I downloaded a wallpaper from Zedge and the cool thing was that the smart app on the home page with the weather, etc,., changed colors to match the wallpaper. Apparently the G4 has this feature in the smart settings (the 3 dots on the right of the display by the weather) G3 doesn't have that option.

Just checked that....you're right! Thanks for the tip. :)

I really like that Smart Notice widget. The weather nerd in me really wants LG to put more features in like a radar, etc. but it will do. I finally got to see the lock screen animations during a storm and they are awesome.

I couldn't get mine to work. Had it checked but never showed. I think the rain drops on my G3 lock screen are cool.

Heh, the first thing I do with all my android phones is to remove the weather widget on the home page. I am in So Cal and just about everyday is the same (Sunny with no chance of rain) LOL. I just download another weather app to put the temperature on my status bar. The only thing that really changes throughout the day is the temperature. I wish the stock weather have an option to do that, but I couldn't find it.

The rain drops looked cool :) Maybe not terribly useful, but they look good.

I found myself wishing they used the accelerometer to actually drip DOWN. Angle the phone left, and have them actually obey gravity, vs still dripping towards the bottom of the phone.

That's probably just getting silly, but it would look even better.

lostchild: you could pethaps temporarily use a false location to see those weather animations. I often see the raindrops coursing down 'inside' the display....I'm in the UK. :)

Btw the app fancy widgets has the weather animation when you unlock the phone. It's pretty cool. Haven't used it in a while think I may go back to it soon.

The other day we had thunderstorms and my screen showed clouds with lightning going off -- it was pretty neat.
