One plus 3 or pixel xl

I am using the one plus 3 but ordered the pixel xl. Having second thoughts about it and may cancel. What do you guys think?

IMO the Pixel XL is clearly a better device on every front except for the price tag. So is the amount of better worth paying nearly double? For me, yes. For you?

To make it simple, if you are budget conscious, get the Oneplus 3, otherwise, get the Pixel XL.

Reason to get Pixel XL:-

Specs wise, Pixel will be better than the Oneplus 3 because of better processor and camera sensor.

Software wise, Pure Android from Google, which mean latest Android updates will reach the Pixel devices first, and all sort of Google goodies which temporary available on the Pixels, such as Google Assistant.

Reason to get Oneplus 3:-

Specs wise, higher ram and higher megapixel lenses than Pixel XL.

Software wise, 90% Pure Android with few tweak at here and there, but offer more customization compare to stock Android.

And lower price than Pixel XL too.

What ways besides screen cause I'm struggling to see it. I have more ram and less bezel on my one plus 3 seems pretty even so far.

What if I already have the one plus 3 should I switch I mean. I ordered Google home as well so pixel may work more smooth with the assistant on it as well.

If you already ordered the Pixel, then it looks like the affordability question has been answered. I know that he OnePlus has more ram, but you can do more with less RAM if it is utilized more efficiently (i.e iPhone). I have read many articles that suggest that the OnePlus is behind the Nexus 6p when it comes to what the how the geeks feel. I haven't read anything to suggest the Pixel is going to behind the 6p, so I would assume that the OnePlus would be behind the Pixel. I seriously considered a OnePlus to try out, and from what I read, it wasn't going to be a better experience than what I already have. I am gambling that the Pixel will be.

If only you could get the one plus 3 with more storage or a microsd slot. I would get a 128 gig or 256 gig one plus 3 if they would offer one. Since they don't I'm limited.

We don't really know about speed... It probably will be faster. And battery life my be about equal with the higher resolution display.

My feeling is deep discounts for any high end phone will be few and far between because of the N7 failure. I think you might see the N5 prices for used will tick a bit higher since it now is the high end note phone. So, if you are waiting for deep discounts on the Pixel line, it may not happen for a while.

The OnePlus beats it in price by a wide margin. This is the main problem with the Pixel line. I've been having the same conflict to get the OnePlus 3 or the Pixel XL. One other HUGE thing is the Screen-to-Body ratio is much better on the OP3... It is laughable how bad the Pixel is compared to almost any other Android phone in this aspect.

That being said, I broke down and ordered the smaller Pixel today. It is closer to my 5X in size though unfortunately it is a slightly smaller screen. The 6P was too tall for me to use easily and I think the Pixel XL will be similar.

I also fully expect the Pixel to have better battery life than the OnePlus 3, same size screen with a bigger battery and hopefully some improvements. If Pixels don't have great battery life like the current iPhones have then they are really doing it wrong.

The OnePlus 3 is among the worst performers when it comes to battery life compared to other phones with similar specs. There's no way the Pixel XL will be as bad as the OnePlus 3 when it comes to battery life.

I wouldn't even compare both, to be honest. The OP3 is a great phone and for that price you can't go wrong with it, but to me the Pixel phones are in another league. But hey, I haven't compared them side by side so who knows

It's possible I am confusing it with another phone. I swear Anandtech found the battery life to be poor but when I went to their review, the battery life was about average.
