one:ui thoughts

I'm interested in trying the one ui but l'm a little apprehensive seeing touchwiz is ordinary after losing feature that were on previous models, like long press for app info, why would they get rid of that and the notification badges also work which they don't on touchwiz ?

I'm using the Pixel double bubble launcher now and it's much better.

Both of these features work on my note 9. Samsung experience has them baked in.

Well the doesn't on the S9 you can go to samsung forums and you'll see around 60,000 hits on the notification badges thread even some who use other launchers have an issue with notification badges, not so many people have an issue with the app info because no so many know of that feature there. Mind you i haven't use touchwiz on the S9 since I changed over in April. I had the other pixel launchers before I changed to the double bubble launcher.

I'm finding it difficult to understand what you're saying, because Samsung devices currently use samsung experience, not touchwiz, and app info does show when you long press.

And notifications, and badges work as they should on my note 9, and my note 8.

I don't use samsung software if possible it's ordinary IMO, if since I changed lanuchers back in April from touchwiz to pixel, Samsung now use samsung experience I wouldn't know or care.

If samsung experience works well for you, great enjoy.

Yep, Samsung apps and Samsung experience do work well for me.

I ditch google stuff as soon as I get a new device, it's bloatware and an unnecessary compulsory add on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've been using Nova for 4 years even when I had the pixel. Samsung experience is pretty and even thought about using instead of nova. But I'm picky and had having app icons labeled on the home screen. I decided to go back to Nova. But I'm going to give the new UI a shot.

What about notification badges. Is there a change with one UI? I am så tired about loosing the batch counter after clearing the notification panel.
