OnePlus 3 with AT&T - not able to get LTE connection

I have had no issues with LTE in the states. I also was able to use it in Iceland with no issue.
The OP3 has received a number of updates and the last one included the Sept security patches. I am VERY pleased with the phone. I also have a Note 7 and have to say, I like the OP3 better overall. (yes the Note 7 is better in a few ways, but overall, I have yet to use a phone that is as fluid as the OP3).
Oxygen is very close to stock android, so if you like a Nexus feel, this is closer to that experience with its own tweaks(which I like overall)
I would look at some of the OP3 youtube reviews and reviews on some of the reputable android sites.

And the real reason I asked is because a number of posters seemed to have issues with ATT and the 1P3. Perhaps ATT has resolved that now?

Assuming that is no longer an issue, I'm curious if the battery is as restrictive as it sounds (can it really make it through the day with moderate use?) And how does the camera do in low light conditions?

Thanks Damian. That's an interesting perspective. I'm glad to hear 1Plus is doing a good job with security updates. I like much about Samsung HW (not the sealed glass construction though) but have experienced firsthand how quickly yesterday's flagship gets forgotten when updates have to go through both the mfg and the carrier.

I am super happy with the battery, averaging 4 hours of SOT and easily lasting the day.
I am very happy with the camera overall, even lowlight. Not as good as the Samsung S7/S7E/Note7, but pretty darn close for me.

Just curious if you intended to post comparison pics or if that was a single example of a low light pic from the 1P3?

Here is a direct low light comparison that I just took with the OP3 and Note 7, no flash, auto settings. Files are named by phone.

Looking at them on my iPad, I can't tell which is which and the file names don't show. So I guess that's a good thing!

I've received at least four updates since getting my 1+3 back in late July. Right now I'm on 3.2.6 and for the "cutting edge" folks there is a community build of 3.5.x out there from 1+ which eventually will be promoted to be the "latest" version of OxygenOS. Lots of development going on and a good pace for updates. After seeing anticipated Pixel pricing I may be looking at a second 1+3 for my wife who is looking for a larger phone this year. We weren't excited about iPhone pricing so I made the jump first. Quite happy so far.

OnePlus has my attention at the moment. Especially if the connection issues with AT&T have been resolved. I'm a little concerned about the battery life. Also a bit concerned about the merger of Oxygen and Hydrogen due to the developer exodus at Oneplus.

The Moto Z Play is a strong contender too and I should know my Pixel options in a week. Hopefully then I'll buy something. But right now I have no idea what that may be.

I don't know for certain if they are resolved, I'm in a wait and see pattern there. I haven't had an issue in a couple of weeks but that doesn't mean I won't again. As for the OS merger, that does throw an element of chaos into the mix. However I figure 1+ seems to be dedicated to resolving this and supporting a single OS makes sense to me. I also factor in that it seems 1+ is heavily backed by Oppo which I suppose can't be a bad thing.

I'm going to be in the states next weekend, and will be putting service on my AT&T sim to use while we're there. So I'll get an idea pretty quick on if/how it's working. I know some cases were just that the OP3 wasn't automatically picking up the right APNs, and they had to be set manually.

The Hydrogen/Oxygen "merger" was clarified a bit last week. The backend of the OS will be merged, but the UX will remain separate for the China and everywhere else versions - so China will still get Hydrogen, everyone else still gets that stock feel of Oxygen. But think of it more as two skins over a common core than two separate OSs coming together.

I've been using the Community Build since last week (sideloaded it over dinner because I was crunched for time that night but didn't want to wait because I was headed out of town the next day ... yeah, I know that's not the best time to flash a new OS. LOL) and it's been solid. Every bit as stable as the stock 3.2.x builds.

Hope they can keep up with the disenchanted soon to be former Nexus crowd jumping on the OP bandwagon!

After seeing the confirmed prices for the Pixel phones today, I contacted AT&T and asked about connecting an unlocked OP3 to the AT&T service. I was told it was a simple process requiring some tweaks mainly to get internet access (?). So I immediately ordered a OnePlus3. Now to wait out the USA delivery time (supposed to ship on 10/21 and arrive by 10/27).

I swap sim cards from ATT phones(Samsung Note 7/S7) with the OP3 all the time and never have an issue and never told them. Works without any issue.

I wouldn't bother AT&T with it myself, except that my GS4 has the older micro sim card and I'll need a new nano sim card for the OP3.
